I take all my pets there and I am really happy with their service. I have 2 dogs a cat and a bird. They always do a good job.

first let me say that for the past 20 years i have been taking our pets to the lake station pet clinic without too many complaints. in the past 6 months my opinion of the business has decreased, so when i while i was awaiting my new puppy i was also searching for a new vet, primarily because of a constant battle of ear infections for the last 2 1/2 years with my yorkie. when i say constant, i mean every month. this poor dog has suffered way too much with this condition, i had asked the vet several times, isn't there some other medicine out there or treatment we can try, i was always told no, this is the best solution, well, you try giving ear drops every day for 2 1/2 years and see how you're doing, especially when it doesn't seem to be improving very much. some months yes, and some no.
i liked that arbor view had a good selection of educated vets, some well experienced, and some recently graduated from college. after explaining what we had been going through, and them requesting the chart with all the history, we began a new medicine, i don't give drops on a daily basis, which in itself makes a huge difference. but, my dog isn't scratching her ears, and crying which is amazing.
all the staff at arbor view are dedicated to taking care of your pet, reminder phone calls for appts, and follow up phone calls to see how the pet is doing. they can answer any question you have, and if not, will find out the answer for you.
i know at our house, our pets are part of our family, and when they hurt we want to get them the best care to help them get better, i believe arbor view fills that need.

I arrived earlier than scheduled appointment due to getting cats in their carrier with ease. Receptionist helped get my cats through the doors when she saw me entering. The DR was able to see me early and did not mind. Veterinarian Assistant talked about each cat with me writing down all I said. She was able to get cats out of carrier with ease to weigh them. The Dr. talked in length about my concern of their age (17 and 18) and furture health issues . One my cats has always been uncooperative and the DR had her cooperation. He did push any type of expensive treatments, yet making me aware of all situations. I decided on my own to have blood drawn on one of my cats. Later in the evening the Dr called me and left a message with results from the blood work. Clinic called today to see how cats were doing from the immunization. Upon advice from the DR we are trying a simple solution with kitty litter and give a couple of weeks before we try medication. All and all this was a very pleasant annual visit for my cats and me. The total outcome was better than I anticipated due to the age of my cats.
