My husband and I paid top dollar for a new roof and some gutters. The materials seemed good. But it seemed like there were constant issues - one after the other. First, on the flat portion of our roof, they removed some flashing or ridge or something so water came POURING off the sides. So we had to call them back to add some gutters on one side, then back again on the other side to put that edging that should have been installed in the first place. Next, while installing the roof, they accidentally shattered the inner pane of our sky light. And this is the beginning of our issues. Side notes - sky light glass had been replaced less than a year prior with a VERY quality company (and not cheap) and just weeks prior we had installed a shade. The chards of glass and shades falling had put some gouges (small) in our Kitchen Craft cabinets (not cheap to replace) and scratches on the fridge. We we accommodating with their efforts to fix and weren't overly demanding in the process. For example we requested they only replace our fridge handle in which a gouge was visible from across the room (even though there was minor damage to the door). We didn't request them replace the cabinet doors. The shade was an easy fix, they simply re-ordered the shade from Home Depot. They offered a skylight that was the argon filled, double paned replacement. This is where our regrets start. We have never seen paperwork on what was installed, and thus have no idea if the quality is even remotely as good as the old one. If we had known that replacing the skylight meant using a hacksaw to butcher the old one out and put the new one in, we would have stopped them. Unfortunately, we only realized this when my husband heard the saws tearing our house apart (we have a custom built mid-century modern home and the skylight was built into the home). The replacement work was shoddy - they left the raw unfinished edges of they skylight, there are splotches of the calking in the corners that are blights to the view outside. They finally came back and "finished" the edging (installed pieces of wood to hide the saw makes and caulked the rest of the rest of the rough edges, so don't look too closely. There are still shards of glass sitting up wedged under the rails the shade rides on. My husband swears they removed the old shade pieces, but I have no idea why there is glass still there, like they never took the hardware of the old shade out and just installed the shade itself. When the shade is pulled open, you can see a dirty thumb print on it. AND after all of that, the sky light leaks. Not badly, only in the worst of the storms we've had. They came back to do some work on it. I have since repaired the pealing paint and dry wall issues, only to see more evidence of water damage (again, only in the heaviest of downpours). While White Oak's costumer service is friendly and responsive and has worked to fix everything, my husband and I are so tired of them. We don't have a like replacement and dearly regret not insisting that they use the product we had originally done our replacement with. We finally decided to get the job done right and are fronting the bill of $2500 to fix what they did poorly. We only used this company because a few years ago at my previous house they did a good job with the gutters there. So be warned, if you have a simple job of gutter replacement, they might not be so bad, but stay well clear of them if you have any thing specialized in your home.

Where shall I begin? Had a front door transom and side panels installed in February, 2016. It rained 2 days later and had water 6 feet into my living room. They came out and used a non-paintable caulk and made a mess.Hinges are black however they installed a brass and to silver-colored screws.I had a spray paint those black. They didn't peel off the old white caulk from the old assembly. They merely went over it with clear caulk. Looks really great! Within a month all the exterior paint was peeling off. I called customer service and gave up after 3 weeks. I finally got the "I was on vacation" call back. That's professional. They finally blamed all the peeling paint on a subcontractor of theirs. Service guy came out in a couple 3 weeks to look at it; 3rd and cover it with some kind of metal cover. Said they would call us back in a week. Of course that never happened. I called after a month and they said yeah the parts were ordered and will get back to you. Also had to remind them that the big scuff mark on the front of the door also needs to be repaired. They didn't document or address that. Runaway! Run away quickly.
