He said he had references (including an attorney), but I could never reach them.  When I hired him, I told him I needed some tree stumps removed.  It was quite a bit of money, but I needed it all cleared.  I walked him through everything.  He half-did the work.  He did not have laborers (his wife and son did the work), and he did not have machinery.

I had some left over building materials and yard waste that needed removed.  Also, an old platform from an old building needed removed.  All of his staff were polite and well spoken.  Work was preformed quickly.  Even removed some small things, at no extra charge, I forgot to tell them about, when I first showed the company what I wanted done.  He was on time and when they were done everything was left neat a tidy.  Even helped me close our large heavy double yard gate.
