Doug replied to my contact email with the name of a nice man who works with him, David Hicks. Originally I had called a A+ rated handyman service from the list. The man showed up when he said he would for the quote, but at 8am he still reaked of alcohol.
I found out about Husband for Hire through Facebook and contacted them after seeing pictures of the work which was completed. Doug replied to my contact email with the name of a nice man who works with him, David Hicks.
I called David, and we agreed upon a time for David to look at our threshold problem, and to give us a quote. When David came to the house he was well mannered and professional. I decided to have him quote us to refresh the shutters on our windows, too. I received the quote for removing the shutters, cleaning, then painting, as well as the threshold within a few days. The quote was for the threshold was less than half of what the other company quoted me, and the quote for the total job, adding in the shutters was only about 80.00 more than the original quote from top Angies list contractor, which ONLY included door threshold.
David removed the shutters, cleaned them, then painted so that they look brand new! Two day later he returned to hang them and fix the rotted threshold. They shutters look amazing, the threshold is no longer rotten and we had great experience with Husband for HIre. I would hire them again for their professionalism, promptness, and value!
