D3 Structural Engineering

I am in the process of buying a home and the home inspection indicated that one of the exterior walls was bowing and that there was a horizontal crack in the basement. The home inspector recommended that I contact a structural engineer to come and inspect the property to see if any action needed to be taken. I originally called Kurt after business hours and left a message. Then when I had not hear back from him or any other of the structural engineering people late the following morning, I called him again. He answered and remembered my message. I explained to him what I needed. Unfortunately, he was not able to come and look at the house because he was leaving for vacation that afternoon, but he suggested another company that I could call. After reaching that company and being told that the wait time for an estimate was over a month and a half I called Kurt back to insure that there was no possible time that he could look at it (at that point I didn't know he was leaving for vacation quite so soon). He calmly explained that he was in fact leaving town that day and suggested another company I could call, who ended up being very friendly and able to pencil me in within a few days. 
Although he was unable to do any work for me, I appreciated his willingness to try to assist me TWICE by suggesting two competitors. 

It was difficult to find a structural engineer who would look at a small residential property. He wrote me a nice, detailed report and it turned out to be less than expected. He came out a week after I called, and he sent me the final report a week after he came out.
