Seniors Helping Seniors Northwest Indiana

Over the past four months we have been active clients of Seniors Helping Seniors in Northwest Indiana. Our experience has been wonderful in every respect! Vickey Kelver, who runs this branch, is an angel. Her sensitivity in putting clients and helpers together is truly admirable. Although many of the clients are much older seniors who need in-home care for health reasons, we are younger seniors who needed help doing outdoor projects that were too intimidating to start by ourselves. We've had four great helpers who have come out singly and in pairs to help us clean off our porch, organize the garage, paint the front fence, repair some steps, deep clean the pantry, and do some gardening. It feels so good to part of a community that works together to share the chores and spread the money around within the pool of people on fixed incomes. Seniors Helping Seniors is one of the best ideas I've come across in years and I love being part of it! I wholly recommend this organization without hesitation!
