There was nothing wrong with the floor, it was a bamboo wood. I originally called another service provider but they never called me back so I went to Lumber Liquidator. I also asked them for someone to install the flooring, to come out and look at it because something was wrong and they gave me Transylvania Construction Inc.
They were perfectly fine. The young man seems to be knowledgeable about the different floors. We were in a condo and we have a cement flooring so he was very helpful in showing us which floor we could use and which ones we could not use because we were on concrete. They give you all the information you need to install the floor. They will show you in the computer and give you a print out. It was an extensive paper work that will tell you exactly how to go about doing the floor. Then I gave all the paper work to the Quality construction for the flooring and I don?t think they cared enough to read it and it doesn?t work that way. What they recommended on the paper work was the side that you have to snap it in really needs to be glued down and that was the one thing that they did not do, glued it well. I have a very large run and you also need to put in spacers I think and they did not that either. The spacers were used because my run was too long. My living room, dining room and hallway are too long of the run for this type of flooring and that was we were told when Tansylvania came out and they did their best to fix it. It was Transylvania who fixed what Quality Builders did not do right. But it?s starting to come apart again because of the heat and cooling but as not as bad as the first time. When I gave the information to Quality Construction, I did not read it myself. After it became such a mess, I got back at the instructions and I read it. The instruction clearly said that it needed spacers and glued down and even nailing down. It was a very detailed instruction so I can?t complain about Lumber Liquidation because they were clear on the instruction. But Quality Builders didn?t read it.
I don't have a problem with the floor and it's a beautiful floor. It was the installation that went wrong.
