They have big tubs and dryers so we bathe the pet ourselves; it works out well. They have clean towels every time you go there so you don't even have to take clean towels and they have shampoo that you can use. They have three little tables with dryers on a hose and they have a big wire cage you can put them in if they are bigger so you can dry them while they are walking around. It is a lot easier than trying to do it in your bathtub. They have dog and cat toys and supplies for sale there as well as other small animals like birds, fish and all other kinds of critters.

The training was a five-week class held at the Pet Food Center, where each class was 45 minutes to an hour long. The trainer was Joel McMains, who has written several books and has many years of experience working with dogs. He makes a point of telling the students that if there are any behavior issues that can't wait until class, they should call him at home to get the issues resolved as soon as possible.
The class uses a pinch collar to train obedience, but does not use it when the desired behavior is optional (tricks), when there is no good way to correct the behavior (stand-stay), or when you don't want to associate the behavior with punishment (recall).
My dog didn't respond well to the pinch collar, so the trainer and I discussed other ways to get her to respond to training. She seemed to be the exception in not liking the collar, as the other dogs in the class very much enjoyed that method of training.
None of the dogs in my class had much if any prior knowledge going into the class, and all of the dogs left knowing all of the basic commands that were taught in the class. The class clown was also better behaved by the end of the class because the owner had started to show who was the boss of their and quot;packand quot;, and that problem behaviors would not be tolerated.
