JONES & SONS INC

The blocks that we bought from Jones & Sons are very inferior from the original blocks that were used for our basement.  We added on a 30 by 15 ft. addition to the basement. There is absolutely no comparison between the blocks used originally, and the additional ones that we bought from Jones & Sons.  When it rains, the water seeps through the new blocks bought, and floods our basement.  When we brought this up with Jones & Sons originally, their excuse was that they thought we were using the blocks to build a hog house, and not for an addition onto our basement.  We finally had a contractor from Jones & Sons come out 7-21-14, when our first appointment over 2 years ago was abandoned by the owner and no one showed up.  Today, we were told by the contractor that we needed to put a sealer on the inside of the blocks to prevent the water from coming in.  

I feel like it was their fault that the blocks are leaking, when they are saying that it was due to us not doing a properly.  We bought all materials from Jones & Sons, and they failed to appropriately explain to us the process of laying the bricks.  He is saying the blocks are government approved quality, but I can assure you that these are inferior to the original blocks we had for our basement. I feel taken advantage of.  I would not recommend them to others, and lastly I will never buy materials from them again. They are taking zero responsibility for the issue at hand.
