Emerald Gardens Florist & Gift Shoppe

The florist invited us to sit at a table with her. She asked questions and listened to my daughter's ideas and her likes and dislikes. She showed us some flowers from her refrigerated storage area as well as pictures in books. The groom would be wearing his Marine dress blues, so my daughter wanted a bouquet that would go with her creamy white gown and pull in a touch of the groom's patriotic colors. She decided on a bouquet that would cascade a little, with lots of white flowers and a few accents of deep red – and a sheer dark blue ribbon.It's one thing to choose a bouquet out of a book to be duplicated and quite another to ask for a custom bouquet with a general description and then leave it up to the florist to design a bouquet that won't be seen until it is delivered shortly before the wedding. This florist's artistic flair is amazing. My daughter was thoroughly delighted with her lovely bouquet and the divine scents that wafted up. (The bees loved the scents too – it was an outdoor wedding!)We also ordered a pair of vases, each with a long-stemmed red rose with baby's breath and a blue ribbon that matched the bouquet's ribbon. One vase would go next to the wedding cake and the other at the bride & groom's table. Simple and lovely.The florist was patient and generous with her time, willing to work within a modest budget, and willing to deliver on a Sunday. The flowers were were waiting for us when we arrived at the wedding site. If you want a talented and trustworthy florist in Spencer, Emerald Gardens is my recommendation.
