TEMPLE TREE SVC

It went well.

Mark Temple arrived promptly to give a quote. He said he would do the work the following week. I called the following week & he said he had equipment problems & would get to it the next week. The next week, he called to let me know they would be doing the work that day. While they were here, i asked for a root to be ground down. They did this at no extra charge. They did a good job & cleaned up. Professional and experienced.

Mr. Temple came over the same day I called him and gave me a written quote.  He followed-up by calling me two days later and offering to remove the tree that same day.  Temple was recommended to me and their price was very competitive, so I gave them the job.  Within two hours of giving the go-ahead, my Cull-De-Sac was filled with Temple's equipment.  They brought a Bucket Truck, a Wood Chipper, a Bobcat, a Stump Grinder and Two Huge Dump Trucks.  They definitely have the right equipment.  There were four workers and they worked hard.  The tree was massive and I assumed it would take at least a couple of days to do the job.  Temple's crew cut down the tree, ground down the stump, hauled away all of the limbs, then raked my yard, swept off my roof and blew off my sidewalk, all in about 6 hours.  Mr. Temple and his crew were all very courteous.  They knew what they were doing and obviously took pride in their work.  Mr. Temple even gave me some advice on the types of trees I should consider as a replacement.  All in all, this was a very positive experience.  I definitely feel like I got more than my money's worth.  I'm glad that I chose Temple and will definitely use them again if the need arises.

This experience was a horror.  I had one sizable branch come down on my roof and Temple was to come and remove it.  I had more damage from them than from the branch.  They ran the boom truck into my garage, damaging the shingles.  And when they began removing pieces of the branch, they simply let them drop from 25-30 feet in the air, breaking windows in more than one location.  When the owner of the company came promptly to look at my damage, his manner was chauvenistic and dismissive--certainly not the type of customer service I offer for my business' clients or what I expect at the most basic level from those who do work for me.  The price was certainly cheap, but the headaches and aggravation weren't worth it.

They were very good and professional.  During their work, the tenant came out and told them to just cut down the whole tree.  They actually called me to see if that was what I wanted done and it wasn't, so I appreciated that.  They are very experienced. I had no problems with them.

They are an A overall and are good in what they are doing. They also are relatively inexpensive and I say they do a good job. I will use them again in the future.

However, their billing people will be unreasonable and try to strong arm.

I tried to pay the guys when they finished the work but they did not take payment.

• 9/6 I get a treating call from them for payment. I requested an invoice. They emailed me an invoice for $798.60. I mailed a check for $780 (the amount of the estimate).
• 9/7 I receive another mailing from them for $798.60. This was a printed copy of the 9/6 email that they had sent to me.
• 9/8 I receive a photocopy in the mail of an Invoice dated 9/2 for $780 plus a $18.60 interest and clerical fee.

They completed the work on 8/10.  Their workers would not accept payment at the time they completed the job. I received their first billing on 9/6 and payment has been mailed.  It has not been even 30 days since they completed the job. I have paid them in full for services and have no intention of paying the extra $18.60 that they have added. I paid them within a reasonable time-frame.  They cannot strong arm me into paying more.
If you use them pay at time of services.  Do not wait for a bill, they will add unreasonable charges in unreasonable timeframes.

Unfortunately we didn't do a lot of research before choosing Temple to remove the huge oak tree that had fallen on our property. He showed up promptly with his work crew but that's about the only compliment I can give the company. It is true that he did the job we hired him for but I have serious concerns the his employees are not only illegal but do not receive fair treatment. He had no first aid kit in any of his vehicles that day and when he asked me for some for an injured employee he claimed that in 40 plus years in the tree removal business he had never had any injuries. Really?! How is that even statistically possible?? I would caution anyone thinking of hiring him to keep looking. Besides all of this our property was damaged. the crane used put cracks in our driveway and porch. They carelessly drove over bushes int he front yard and did not put our front fence back as it was originally placed AND we have huge grooves in our lawn from the crane wheels.
