KOONTZ PAINTING & RESTORATION

Signed contract in March and we were told that we were 2nd on the list. Paid $1275 down and waiting for the weather to break. In early May, called them to indicate we were leaving town for about 10 days but since the weather had already turned nice, they could start while we were gone. Said they would start with pressure washing. Returned from vacation, nothing had happened, so called them. Got a very cool reception but said they would come out in a couple days, and also that they could start painting in about a week. They came out and pressure washed. When I inspected the job after they left, they had missed an area, so I called the owner. He wasn't too happy but said they would come out to fix the missing area. I also asked him if he had a more specific date when painting would start. He was very wishy washy and didn't have a date. When I told my wife our conversation, she called him back and he was very indignant. He indicated that everybody was wanting there house painted now that the weather was nice and they would have to wait. They went back and forth and he said that he couldn't give a date when they would start. She said that wasn't very acceptable since we were told we were second. He said maybe we should find another painter. So we did. He was very unprofessional.
