John came to the house at the time we agreed upon, took his measurements, listened intently to what I wanted him to do, and left. Came back the next day with two written estimates using two different qualities of shingles. With minor modifications, we agreed on the contract details and price and John was on my roof a week later. John brought in a portable dumpster and put it in my driveway rather than to place a regular dumpster in my yard. No damage to grass or driveway. His crew is very careful, did not hurt any of my wife's plants around the house, as a matter of fact, they covered all of her plants with large tarps. We found that my decking was bad - only 3/8" thick and 50 years old. John replaced it at a very reasonable price, less than half the price of decking quoted by Steve's Roofing. 70 sheets of decking for less than $1200. No loud music, no cigarette butts all over the place, no pop bottles or food wrappers on the ground. John controlled his crew very well. John had to be out of town on the day the job was to be finished. When he returned to town, he came straight to the job site to check out what his workers had done. the job did not meet his specs, and he was on my roof within the hour making the necessary repairs. He personally inspected my yard to insure that there were no nails or trash there. He went out of his way to insure that I was happy with the job. I would recommend John Cummings to anyone who asked.
