THE FLASHING INSTALLED (WHICH IS LESS THAN 1 YEAR OLD) HAS COMPLETELY FAILED. WE ARE NOW GETTING WATER RUNNING DOWN THE INSIDE OF OUR WALLS. INSTEAD OF CALLING THE BUILDER WHO HAS ATTEMPTED TO REPAIR THIS 5 OR 6 TIMES, I HAVE HIRED SOMEONE ELSE TO COMPLETELY TEAR THE SHINGLES AND FLASHING OFF THE ROOF AT THE CHIMNEY AREA, DETERMINE WHY WE ARE GETTING CONSISTENT LEAKS, AND TO REDO THE WORK.
Description of Work: BUILDER HIRED THIS CONTRACTOR TO REPAIR LEAKING FLASHING AROUND CHIMNEY AND TO REPLACE FLASHING, FURNACE FLUE AND STORM COLLAR WHERE EXITING FROM ROOF BECAUSE OF REPEATED LEAKING. AFTER REPAIRS, I CONTACTED CONTRACTOR AND ASKED STEVE TO FIX ROOF SHEATHING BECAUSE IT WAS INSTALLED TIGHT AGAINST FLUE PIPE ON ONE SIDE WITH NO CLEARANCE AS REQUIRED TO PREVENT FIRE, AND TO RE-CAULK STORM COLLAR AFTER FLUE WAS RE-BRACED. SOME ADDITIONAL WORK I WANTED DONE WAS ALSO DISCUSSED AND STEVE AGREED TO PERFORM THE WORK WITHIN A FEW DAYS.
