My name is Emily. I am available for any daily help that your family may require. Ranging, but not limited to house care needs, lawn and garage care, pet and child care, errand runs, and more help available. I have been working in others homes for various help requirements since I was 14; making it a total of 15 years of experience. I have worked in industrial and multi-unit residential properties as well over the last 8 years. I have gained knowledge of many different skills and talents with my wide range of career fields. I enjoy being able to help people and hopefully make one less task, or maybe many tasks; for their daily routine lists. I also have 15 years of babysitting, housesitting, petsitting, elderly care and plant care expereience. I have also gained experience in minor maintainance, house painting, drywall , and other home improvements in that time. I have multiple resources for tasks that I may need to contract out for assitance on larger projects or automobile care related needs. I am a big animal person. My family has been very active with a variety of animals of the years and generations. The last three generations; including myself, gained a passion for dog breeding. From yorkies to golden retrievers, and then labs as well as labradoodles. I took agriculture courses in high school including volunteering on local farms. It may seems a bit crazy to offer such a wide range of services. The variety is my motivation; it helps change up my routine and it is what drives my passion to help others. I know my job my been hectic but at the end I was able to make that persons life a bit less stressful. I learned these skills knowing that I may just need to know how to do that one day when I have nobody to help. Little did I know I would enjoy putting that knowledge to use helping others instead. I would love to hear from you and see if I am able to assist you and your family in daily tasks that may need some extra hands.

Mulch and Topsoil questions, answered by experts

Many ways to landscape a steep slope on a budget exist. Avoiding expensive retaining wall construction is the first step. Consider creating a rocky slope with boulders or large stones, or think about planting perennials that return every year with a single investment. Transplanting small trees from elsewhere on your property is also possible and can help to stabilize steep slopes without purchasing new ones.

Small gravel is the better option since it creates a stable, even surface that’s easier on paws and hooves. Large gravel can be uncomfortable and may shift too much underfoot. So if you’re using gravel in pet or livestock areas, go for smooth, rounded small gravel to prevent injuries and discomfort.

Yes, and in many cases, you should. Large gravel works best as a base layer because it improves drainage and keeps the surface stable. A top layer of smaller gravel fills in gaps and creates a smoother, more compacted surface. This combination is common in driveways and high-traffic areas where both stability and comfort matter.

If you’re using crushed stone or gravel as a base material, then yes, you should compact it to prevent movement of the top layers. For instance, if you don’t compact crushed stone or gravel and you lay pavers on top of them, the pavers will shift over time. However, if you’re using gravel or crushed stone as a top layer for aesthetic purposes, you might not want to compact the materials.

Timing is key when determining the best time to hydroseed your lawn. It’s best to hydroseed in the spring or fall due to the already wet conditions of your lawn and the more mild temperatures.

Your local pro will also offer watering and fertilizer instructions for the months after your application. Make sure you will be available to water it consistently, especially in the first two to three weeks for best results.
