First, they do good work. They have great crewman who courteous, neat and respectful. However, while I'm not entirely familiar with the industry they are in, Thomas has a policy that they service their "contract" people first and then push the "non-contract" people to the back of the line. We were introduced the the "contract" policy last year when they closed our sprinkler system for the year. Our previous vendor went out of business the previous year and my recollection is that my wife found Thomas to start up the system last year and then called them to shut it down in the fall. In the shut-down process, they found a few/several heads that needed to be replaced and they did a great job with this. At the time, my wife was introduced to the idea of signing a contract for the shut-down / start-up together. I believe there was a discount for doing this, if we opted to do it at that time. However, the repairs on the system added up to an amount that made it so we couldn't afford the extra "contract" fee to start up this service. When my wife called this year to get the sprinklers turned on, she was asked if we had a contract (which we didn't because we couldn't afford the added $ on top from the fall service), and was told that we'd have to go to the back of the line in a somewhat dismissive manner. To my wife, while we didn't have a contract, we did have at least two seasons of history as a client - which should count for something. I guess this is their business strategy, and I can respect a company's choices on how they do business. But I can tell you that my wife felt that, unlike the guys that actually show up and do the work, this interaction was very off-putting. Thankfully, it was a cool and somewhat wet spring because we were not turned on until June, several days/weeks after we called to schedule the service.

They gave me the steps to turn off my system and they would be showing up when they were ready to come out. I will continue to use them until the time comes to sell my home.

I have a contract with them for this year. I like their attention to detail and their professionalism. They are prompt, they are efficient, and they just do a good job, overall.
