This was the WORST experience I've ever had in hiring someone to do work at my home. Over the course of past 2 years, I personally interviewed, hired and supervised over 15 different tradespeople to build my new construction dream home. I never had any issues with any of them. Then I hired Mitch Dykun of Season's Landscaping. It was a nightmare experience! He treated me rudely from the start, but I would have let that go if he had done the work to any type of professional standard. After performing his pathetic, rushed version of grading, he installed tainted sod and skimped on the mulch. I could tell just by looking at it that yard was way lower in the middle that on the sides, and 2 days later an early morning storm showed me exactly how bad it was. The yard fills with water like a lake! Not to mention the lawn, after only 4 weeks, had different types of grass and weeds sprouting all throughout the lawn, after my contract w/ Season's explicitly stated removal of ALL weeds, but they just put the dirt right on top of the weeds. The mulch he placed looked good at first, but after settling it looks flat and in some areas there's none at all. They rushed through the installation, and ripped me off for $4000 because there's no way to fix the grading and save the sod. It needs to be completely ripped out and redone. After going through this, I have no doubt that this company planned to rip me off from the start, as many of their shoddy practices would not be readily apparent to a lay person; it's only AFTER my check cleared that the wees popped up and the rainstorms came to fill in the lawn-lake. Also, Mitch Dykun is the rudest man I've EVER dealt with. During the install, he spoke to and treated his workers with such degradation. I was told by one crew member that staff quits constantly due to his treatment of them. He also treated me with an incredibly chauvinistic attitude. After I complained about his work he repeatedly bullied and insulted me to try to make me let it go.....telling me, among many other things, that I must have been divorced 3 or 4 times because no man could stand my complaining for very long. All I wanted was for him to do the job to the satisfaction of the industry standards, with a 2% slope away from the house toward the edge of the property, as we had discussed at length prior to my hiring him. Mitch didn't "shoot" the grade at all, so he has no idea what the slope actually is; but I don't think anyone could get an accurate measurement because he left the yard full of lumps, bumps and humps so very time I mow it the high spots are basically scalped, while the low spots are left with 4" tall grass. There's no way to remedy this without redoing the entire lawn. I've tried many times to contact Mitch with photos and complaints, but he ignores me completely. Therefore, I'm posting the very first online reviews of my life, everywhere I can, because I don't want this to happen to anyone else. BEWARE OF MITCH DYKUN AND SEASON'S LANDSCAPE SPECIALTIES. Their specialty is ripping you off!

Seasons does a fine job in mowing my lawn.

Think twice, and then again before using Seasons for anything other than
cutting grass. The owners, Mitch and Cheryl are both rude and
unprofessional .  During the estimate process we were made promises on
the timing of the job, expected quality and finished look of the
project, which included both landscaping and hardscaping. Once they had
our 50 percent deposit, they blew us off for more than a month, then
when we complained they did a rushed, half a** job, and then blamed us
for the poor quality. We have worked with several contractors over the
past few years on various remodeling jobs, and these 2 people were the
rudest, most ignorant 2 contractors we have ever dealt with.
Contract with them at your own peril.

Season's removed our old landscaping, and planted new.  We had new shrubs planted, and also perennial flowering plants.  The workers were very efficient, on-time, and did a good job.  However, we were told they would be by at the end of the month, and they showed up a couple weeks 'earlier', without notice.  I would have liked a phone call, in case we weren't home.  Communication wasn't very good with the owner; we told him what we wanted, but he never wrote anything down.  When they came out to get started, they didn't have specific things we had asked for.  However, his wife was there and she took charge, and sent some guys out to get what we had asked for.  Overall, our landscaping project took only two days, and we were very satisfied in the long run. 

THEY ARE JUST FINE I GUESS. THEY'VE BEEN DOING THE JOB FOR A LONG TIME NOW. I WOULD NOT USE THEM FOR ANY LANDSCAPING BECAUSE THEY WERE AMONG THE HIGHEST PRICED OF ALL THE ESTIMATES WE GOT.

I WOULD NOT LET ANYONE HIRE SEASONS LANDSCAPE SPECIALTIES TO DO ANY OF THEIR WORK. I WOULD TELL PEOPLE THAT THE EMPLOYEES THEY SEND ARE NOT WORTH DEALING WITH. THE ATTITUDE IS HORRIBLE AND THE PEOPLE ARE SO RUDE.
