Very good service overall - crew showed up on time, performed high quality work, and cleaned up very well. Communication could be a bit better - craftsmen originally showed up on a day when owners were not available. Would not hesitate to use this company again.

Terrible. I had to hire another company to fix bamboo flooring which was installed without proper expansion gap in several places in spite of my numerous calls to project and general managers and owner regarding this during installation. They also started late and took much longer than they said it would take. Sinks leaked and it took multiple tries for them to properly seal drain pipes. They did ultimately reimburse me for the money paid to the other company but it took a BBB complaint to get that done. I was yelled at and told I made problems up even though I sent many pictures with proof in emails and text messages.

From the beginning to the end of bamboo installation I had to repeatedly contact owner and general and project managers about lack to expansion gaps even though multiple instructions from boxes on floors after getting no where with crew. Bamboo buckled in multiple places. Two weeks after job completed they returned and fixed one bedroom in which 1 wall had no gap to "prove to me there was a manufacturing defect, not an installation problem. I had to hire another company to fix the lack of gaps in hallway and another bedroom and they found quarter round too tight in places and nailed into bamboo in living room. Rossi will only reimburse if a I sign warranty waiver which still has not been provided even though it was requested in May so that I could review it. I also sent them many text messages and emails with pictures which documented problems In spite of this the project manager denied there were problems and the general manager accused me of making up the problems and both yelled at me and hung up on me multiple times and the owner ignored me. The one crew member who I liked told me that being a female, even though I was bright and did research, I probably didn't under- stand floating floors. I know the difference between floating and bucking at the joints. Bathroom sinks leaked and I was told faucets defective even though it was same one I got for my mother four years ago. After multiple attempts there were no leaks. Stove was leveled when delivered in February, but not when Rossi put it back. Also medicine cabinet was put up crookedly and one transition piece put on wrong. Vinyl flooring was done well and vanity tops were attached well. I tried to attach a picture but could not get that to work.

Sloppy work. No attention to detail. Call back numerous times and work never done to our satisfaction.
Response from ROSSI CONSTRUCTION
"This is our response to your compliant that you made in 2013. In the compliant above you indicated that work was completed in 2016 that is false information. The first representative that was assigned to this project did a substandard job. This individual usually gets nothing but complements of his workmanship. We did receive a complaint from the customer and sent several different representatives from our company on a few different occasions to rectify said complaints at which time the customer was satisfied with repairs. The last time we sent a representative out was to re caulk around the tub. The homeowner was complaining about a chip that was in the tub. This job has been completed for several months and nothing was ever mention about a chip until our last visit to the property. We are not responsible for said chip and feel that this customer is writing this review because we would not repair the chip. The accusation about failing to respond is incorrect and poor/sloppy touch ups on paint is also incorrect because we did not do any painting work. The painting work was to be done by homeowner per our Proposal."

A representative, Chad Rossworn, came by the same day I called for an estimate. He walked around my house and looked at the roof, then told me exactly what was need to repair it. Afer going over the details and looking at the brochure, I was ready to sign the contract and make the down payment (half). Mr. Rossworn then told me that their secretary would call me the next day with the approximate date the work would be done. It was a week-and-a-half from the date of the contract.

I decided to use Rossi Construction for a re-roofing project despite the reviews I saw here. I must admit, I was plenty worried about what I saw in the reviews here, but I had a recommendation for Rossi from a good friend who I trust implicitly in these matters. Rossi had re-roofed his house and he was perfectly satisfied with them. I was torn, but decided to go with the personal recommendation rather than what I read here. In this case, I?m glad I did.
I called Rossi. They took the basic information and shortly after I got a call from Phil, their rep. I set up a time to meet Phil at the house. Phil was already there when I arrived from work. He was a very pleasant and professional guy to deal with. He gave me his cell phone number to contact him directly any time I had a question.
I should tell you, this re-roofing project had been a nightmare. I had previously contacted a different company and had paid an unusually large deposit to them. A couple months later after numerous excuses and despite great weather conditions for roofing, nothing had been done and I fired that contractor. Now, several months more have passed and I?m still trying to recover my deposit from them. (I have written a report on that company here also.) So I was really on edge and at the limit of my tolerance by the time I contacted Rossi and met with Phil.
Rossi came up with approximately the same price I had gotten from the first contractor as well as another contractor I had also contacted for a quote. The difference was that Rossi?s price was more inclusive, added some extras (more vents) and they were able to start the work sooner. The shingles they used have a lifetime warranty (better than the original roofer I had a problem with, but the same as the other company I got a quote from) and Rossi gave me a 15 year labor warranty as well. I?d never even heard of a 15 year labor warranty on a roof! I have gotten the final paperwork from the job and the labor warranty is included in the paperwork.
I made the decision to go with Rossi and met Phil (who again beat me to the meeting) to sign the paperwork and to give them the 50% down payment (which seems to be fairly standard in the field, but less than the deposit that I was required to pay to that first company who I am still struggling with).
To be honest, there was an initial communications problem in Rossi that delayed the project by a day. After my previous experience with the other company, I was all over Phil about it. As I said, I was already at the end of my rope with this project before I even met Phil. Phil handled my over-reaction well. He answered my after-hours phone calls, reassured me that things would be taken care of as agreed, immediately checked on the current status and plans, kept me informed, and basically made everything right. I waited a couple of months from the first company and got nothing. From Rossi, I had my roof completed less than a week after I signed the contract. (The actual work only took 1 ½ days.)
I?m not a contractor, but as far as I can tell, the roof looks great. It?s a big relief to have it done. There were no surprises at the end. The final bill was exactly the same as the estimate and the warranties were all spelled out in detail. After all the hassles with the first company which are still going on, I really needed someone to take the bull by the horns and to provide fast, efficient, and professional service. I got this from Rossi. I thank the company, Phil, and the team that did the work. Like my friend, I do not hesitate to recommend this company.

After reading one of the other reviews of this company, the issues they went through and the response from the company, I felt compelled to put a review in for this company. I can believe everything that individual said about the work that was done on their house. This company does questionable work. We had them redo the siding on the outside of the house as well as replace all our windows. The windows leak air because they did not insulate properly when they installed the new ones. I recently had a professional roofing company come out to check my roof and replace a piece of flashing on the house, they stated the roofing was not done correctly and he could tell that they were not professional by things that they omitted. Mind you this roofer was not trying to get business, he simply was letting me know the things that were not done correctly. Rossi construction also did our kitchen remodel. Included in this was electrical work. I would say that the person that they hired was not a professional electrician. Some things were not done correctly and have had to be redone. I only wished we would have gotten the work inspected. I guess you get what you pay for would be a good phrase when choosing this company. This work was done back in 2003 through 2004. It was a while ago and cannot remember the exact dates. If this company is still in business which would surprise me, because of the fact that they hire incompetent workers and poor workmanship.

In the beginning, Chad came to our home and gave the estimate. He was very friendly and assured us this project would go well. After signing the contract, I never saw Chad again and I reached out to him multiple times throughout the project as the issues occurred.
There were many issues from the start. The city actually came and shut down the porch work because they had let their licensing lapse for this city. This was rectified immediately(according to the receptionist for Rossi), but for some reason this stopped the whole project altogether. The porch was the only function shut down. They could have continued painting, but their work stopped for over a week. Additionally, the wooden porch replacing the concrete stoop was actually torn down and redone twice, because it did not meet the city inspector requirements.
When I tried to communicate with Chad and Mike(who, I was told was my contact person for the project), both deferred me to speak with the other-and neither would ever call me back.
The main worker on the project was not informed there were specific code requirements for the porch. This delayed the project.
The painting of the house and garage does look nice from the street. We have had to touch up quite a few spots, but it did turn out looking nice.
Two window wells were filled in with concrete and we were very happy with the function of them. We have had no water leak with the window wells which were filled in, however the company used "pebbled" concrete and it looks very silly since we have a smooth concrete walkway. Everyone who looks at it asks us what happened-and we have no good response as to why this was chosen. We had even asked and I was told by Mike "that is what we have" and "I have to move on to the next project". Steve, who was the main person completing the work on the house wanted to come back and smooth out the pebbled cement but he was told he was moved to another project and he was not to come back because they were behind schedule. We had originally contracted with Rossi to only have one window well removed and filled. During the project, it became apparent that a second would have to be filled in. We approved this, but they wanted us to pay an increased price for the second window well with no explanation given. We had to fight to get the price the same as the first.
The work itself was okay for the most part, but the communication was horrific. Communication internally(within Rossi) was terrible. Everyone blamed one another and I never knew who to speak with. We were okay with changes/issues occurring as long as it was fixable, but the communication made it such a terrible experience.
Even the administrative staff was not friendly and did not relay messages.
I would not recommend this group for any work due to the poor communication and lack of professionalism that occurred. I do have a nice porch that looks wonderful, but it was a horrible experience. The gentlemen who performed the work I would hire again, but the company itself-NEVER.

"The only way we can respond to this compliant is by apologizing to the customer for what she felt was a bad experience with our organization. We strive to make all of our customers happy unfortunately we do not always succeed. However, she was satisfied with the finish product and we thought that we parted on good terms."

Chad Rossworn hired someone off the street to do the work. This guy was not a plumber, carpenter or electricain. He did not pull permits even though he was doing plumbing and electrical work. As a result of his sloppy work I lost the occupancy permit on my house and spent over ten months in small claims court trying to get my money back (which the judge told my I should have gone to the court above small claims - I just did not want to wait the 10 months that court would have taken). Small claims was supposed to be faster, which it was, he just refused to pay me and I had to take him back to court three times. He put plastic pipe next to cast iron pipes, did not use the proper wiring for a bathroom and moved my light swith above my leaking sink. The walls were not even completely painted. Tile floor was installed wrong. The only satification I got out of this experience was the look on his face when he came back to 'touch up' and I told him the inspector would be there in a few minutes to make sure he did everything to code. Rossworn turned around and did not look back. I spent the same amount of money on my lawyer - who thankfully did most of it pro bono- and repiping my house as I would have paid him - too bad I need to have my bathroom remodeled agian. DO not hire him

In our opinion, the overall quality was very poor. The drywall seams were uneven, and some outlets were not fully mudded. We are in the process of re-mudding, re-sanding, and re-painting multiple areas. The paint job had many drip marks, some areas were missed or not fully covered, and there was ceiling paint on the walls and wall paint on the ceiling due to a very poor job of cutting in the ceilings. We are in the process of sanding out paint drips and re-painting multiple walls and ceilings. There was additional damage to our house. The job took longer than it should have and the company was very difficult to work with.

They were contracted to begin the work on the 8th of October they brought materials with them. They came back the 9th of October to start the work. They started the work on Friday. They were the only ones in my home and things were missing. There were things missing and I contacted the supervisor and told him about the missing items. He told me that this could not be possible because the employees had been with the company so long. I searched for the items and discovered that even more items were missing. I did not see them take my things and these are only allegations, but they were the only ones in my home at that time and that would have access to these items. I would not hire Rossi Construction to do anything. The tile border they put down was too thick. This raised the bathroom floor about 3/4 in. Their painting was terrible because you can see where the painting ran and they let it go. This is nothing I can prove, but I did file police report and contacted my insurance company. They have been paid for their services.

They try to get as many jobs as possible. The crews that showed up here were different everytime. There is no consistency and the work was not good. I am now trying to clean up some of the messes that they created. They were responsive to most of my complaints and reasonable in these aspects. It is just the fact that I feel the quality of the crews at my house were sub par.

The final job looks wonderful, however the job took much longer than anticipated. Estimated time for the job was about a week weather permitting (rain). Although we did have quite a bit of rain this summer, the job took 6 weeks. Endless phone calls were made to find out the status of the work as well as why a dumpster was sitting there for weeks partially on our neighbor's driveway. Loads of dirt were left in our front yard after the job was completed & we had to call to have that removed as well. My experiences with one of the women in the office were terrible. Although I understand that this is a busy company, this particular person who I will not name was very curt and condescending each time I called. Overall we're happy with the final job; it looks great. We do understand that contractors are very busy, but we were blown off several times when we were told we would get a phone call back & never did. Chad was extremely nice, but his office person needs a lesson in customer service.
