They're very knowledgeable and very polite. They're great with the animals. They answer every questions you have. They have outstanding bedside manner with the cats and dogs.

They are genuinely caring, compassionate, and trustworthy. You never second guess them because it seems like they have your pet’s best interest at heart. They treat your pet as if it was their own. Unfortunately, my cat, Lemonhead, came to the end of his life, but they treated him with such dignity and respect that I’ll never forget how kind their words were and their thoughtfulness. They made a little paw imprint in plaster and a signed card, which meant a lot.

I have been going here for probably 10 years. Dr. Preston is very knowledgeable. You can tell she absolutely loves animals and what she does. She takes her time with you and you are never rushed when you are there. One time, I had to put one of my dogs down and I was completely devastated. When you leave you always have to pay for the visit, but I was so torn up that Dr. Preston just told me to leave and take care of it another day. They are higher prices than most places, but they are close to me and I am happy with them so I am willing to pay a little more.

The Vets at the clinic accurately prescribed the correct medicines that worked wonders with our dog. They were very concerned and worked with me on getting more medications at the right times without seeing the dog.

This clinic provides an excellent offering of caring and highly skilled veterinarians, techs, and staff. They have been caring for my pets (multiple cats and dogs) for several years, and I have never been unhappy with one, single thing. They have always given me options on different levels of care, types of treatments, and procedures. When difficult decisions had to be made about end of life treatments for my pets, the vets and staff were incredibly compassionate, respectful, and understanding. My pets are family, and I can't imagine trusting their medical care to any other veterinary facility. If you are a true animal lover, understand the necessity of regular veterinary care (not just when something goes wrong), and want to provide your pets with the best this county has to offer, take them to St. John Animal.
I don't know about the previous reviewer's experience, but I've never been in this clinic and smelled anything but clean - and I've been in ALL areas of this clinic from the front door to the back door, and everything in between. My wait time varies, but it's never been intolerable. These vets take whatever time is required to provide high quality care; I want my pets to receive the same kind of treatment, so if I have to wait a bit while another animal in need is treated, that's fine with me.

The facility smells badly - staff unfriendly - always had to wait in excess of 30 minutes - just an all over terrible experience

Dr. Austin is my preferred. However, I have seen the female veterinarian as well who is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I do not wish to state the price. I truly feel Dr. Austin takes the time to explain the needs of my pet and state the probable causes. This may make the appointment run over the time but it is so well worth it for me. They are open on Saturday mornings. I have used their services for 5 years.
