This is not our 'first rodeo' relative to buying a home, so there have been numerous previous inspections for us to compare. Scott conducted the most complete and professional inspection we have ever had done. And while the structure and operating systems were evaluated, a great portion of the value provided was the insight he gave us relative to construction methods and standards; and how our house compared to them. I'd hire him again tomorrow, though since we've not buying again tomorrow, I'll have to settle for recommending him highly.

Great!  This is the 7th house I have purchased, and this is the most thorough inspection I have had to date. Scott is great.  He was professional and knowledgeable.  He took the time to personally explain to us the extent of the issues and repairs needed.  Peoples Choice provided a prompt turn around on the inspection report also.  Highly Recommend.

Scott was on time, friendly and professional. As he went through the house he explained everything that he was doing and looking for. He mentioned things that were good and bad through out the house, provided input on how to maintain things, information on properly use things through out the house. The home inspection report was nicely detailed with images. I learned a great deal and am extremely happy with Scott's work and professionalism.

Scott was extremely thorough and helpful throughout the 4 hour inspection. The report was very detailed and we received it the next day. Couldn't have asked for more.

We spent $550.00 for a complete home inspection.

In the inspection report we were told to have additional inspections on our furnace and fireplaces. Why bother with a home owner’s inspection if all we are told is to contract out other inspectors?

As it turns out, the furnace needed to be replaced.

The fireplace chimney chase pan was rotted which was clearly noticeable if the inspector would have accessed the roof.

Our house had a severe fly infestation, which was hidden from us by the owner and not noticed by the inspector, whom we paid additionally for the and quot;pest inspectionand quot;.

Our upstairs bathrooms have fans that vent to the roof intake soffits, something that would have been noticed if the inspector just took the time to thoroughly check in the attic.

Our central air failed the first season we used it, and I question how well it was tested since we purchased our home in the fall.

The inspector refused to test our central vacuum system, which thankfully works.

We asked for a refund and were denied.

Scott Moran was amazingly thorough during his 3-hour inspection on a Saturday, and the report was prompt (had it Monday) and very detailed. He also spent almost an hour with my wife and me explaining things we should think about, and answering general questions that we had about the house. We were VERY satisfied.

The inspector was professional, polite, and knowledgable. He inspected the entire house, performed well, septic, and radon tests. A couple of times I asked if he had checked whether certain items worked and he had not, such as the gas starter to the fireplace. He said he couldn't find the key, which was on the mantle. I'm not sure whether he would have gotten around to it or not. I was disappointed that the pool equipment wasn't inspected. Overall the inspection went well, but I thought it was expensive. This company was recommended by our realtor and had good reviews on Angie's List.
