Wise Buy Home Inspection

Dallas did a visual inspection of my house before I purchased it. He inspected the lots and grounds, exterior surface and components, outbuilding, roof, garage, electrical, air conditioning, kitchen, heating system, plumbing, bathrooms, bedrooms, living space, laundry room, attic, and structure. I was present for most of the inspection, as was my real estate agent, and he did a good job of explaining the condition of the home. He e-mailed me the inspection report within 24 hours and it was thorough. I consider it to be a good value since the inspection only cost $175 (it is normally $195, but you get a $20 discount if you are present for the inspection and give him a check at that time). However, Dallas does not offer radon or wood-destroying insect inspections, so if you want those reports, you need to go through another provider (as I did). Before buying the house, I also had the heating and cooling looked at by an HVAC professional and I'm glad I did, because Dallas's visual inspection did not pick up on the fact that the furnace had a cracked heat exchanger, and thus needed repair.
