SMK HEATING & AIR COND INC

We called for service this morning before office even opened. Someone called us back promptly and scheduled repair for between 8:30-9:00 a.m. Sam found the problem and made a special trip to get the part, which was under warranty, and came right back to install it. SMK installed our new furnace and air conditioner about 3 years ago and we have them come regularly for cleaning and maintenance. They are professional, reasonable and honest. Fantastic company!!

SMK HEATING & AIR COND INC does everything that needs to be done. I really don't have one suggestion to make this company even better. I think they are somebody you can count on to do quality work and to do it honestly and not to tell you that something needs to be done if it doesn't, and I think that's very important.

SMK HEATING & AIR COND INC does very good work. They're very honest. They're always on time and efficient, a whole bunch of thing, I mean, I'm just very pleased with them all the way around. I guess they're price is an A; I don't have anything particularly to compare with, I just use them no matter what because they do what I think they should do.

arrived on time as always. double checked both air conditioning units and air purifiers. Smk is so honest and trustworthy i will leave my home while they are here. they go out of their way to explain everything and do the best job they can and keep their price down.

Very duifficult problem of a thermal lock that was intermittant and happened in the evenings. Would lose air conditioning for
4-5 hours and then it would reset and start working again. Had to put a window air condtioning unit in bedroom to get by the night sleeping.
Our prior dealer replaced our thermostat as the solution. This cost over $340 plus the service charge. And the problem continued exactly as before. They had no other solution. Their service people were most concerned FIRST about the service charge to just come to the house for further inspections.
We called Habegger (main factory supplier/representative) and they recommended three dealers (our prior dealer was not on their recommendation list). We called SMK.
Sam and Ryan spent hours doing testing and checking all possibilities. Then spent research time with Habegger to narrow down the problem and possible solutions. Then thoroughly explained the three options for trying repairs including the costs and the probable outcomes of solving the problem (none very promising). Also explained the replacement costs.
We bought the service plan from them for our total inspection and filter replacement service every six months.
Next May we will set up the replacement plan. No need to do it now (as they suggested) with the weather changing. And, with the replacement we will get a new ten year warranty. And the window air unit can go back into storage.

SMK came out within a day or two after I called, when I realized the fan or handler continued to run even though it was turned off. I had a couple inches of water in the crawl space up to and covering the transformer. Since this had happened before, I knew something else needed to be done. We discussed getting a handler to match with the air conditioner but when I was told that a new air conditioners don't run with freon, I thought replacing that would make it more efficient and bring down my electric bill. They also needed to hook up to the air intakes and change some duct work. They originally gave the estimate for a handler and I added the new conditioner. It took a week and a half to order everything.
The opening was too small to get the new handler in so they had to cut the hole larger and got a smaller handler. The work took two and a half days to complete. The job looked good.It was a miserable place to have to work. My only complaints were a 2"gap at a couple areas of the adjusted opening. Moisture had come up around the opening from the crawl space. Also the ducts were not insulated which causes sweating from them and thus more moisture.
I thought SMK was very professional. They laid covering over the carpet to protect it. They were all very pleasant to talk with and I have air conditioning for the hot weather whenever it gets here!
