About 4 weeks later, I get a call at 8 am and they said they have all in hand and wanted to come that day. I hadn't removed the sink or countertops yet and they said they'd help me. I declined the offer, we just weren't in a position to scramble like that and had plans for the day. They said it might be two weeks before they could get back to me, they were so booked up. About two hours later, the owner called back and said he'd moved some jobs around and how about Tuesday? (this was Thursday) I said that would be fine. So Tuesday comes and we're all ready, the countertops are loose and just need to be taken out in the garage as they were too heavy for me. They hauled them into the garage and even cut them down for me so my son can use the remnants for a workbench. They put the new countertops on and lo and behold, the backsplashes on the new countertops were shorter than the old ones by about an inch. Surprise! I debated having them taken back and replaced or refinishing the walls and hoping I could match the paint. After discussion with the owner, he elected to have his painter/drywaller come to fix the wallboard so I could paint it, on his dime. And by the way, we don't have the pullouts, the company sent the wrong order. So the countertops were installed but one left loose for the painter, and we waited for the painter to call and the pullouts to be shipped. After two painter visits, a paint match and paint session, and several times of expecting the pullouts to come and they didn't, the job was finally finished.
I had expressed to the sales lady that all trim for the breakfast bar that was water damaged was to be replaced. One piece was reused, but corrected the following visit after I complained. The corner piece was supposed to cover both pieces of laminate, but didn't quite so another piece was added, which didn't look as nice. When it was all done, it looks quite nice and operates as expected. We used Roanoke Woodworking because they originally installed our kitchen when the house was built, and I wanted to match whatever we could without replacing. Several glitches I felt could have been avoided, but overall a nice job.
We would definitely go to them again!
