I really like the help that worked for them, they were really nice and did a good job. The owner of Bowman and Son ( John Lawson) however , was a different story. I asked him if he was set up to accept Visa as payment and he said he was. On the day I was planning to pay him he said I'd have to meet him at his bank to make the payment that his business wasn't able to do that. When we walked in and talked to the banker about making the payment, the banker, fortunately for me, was very honest and straight forward. He explained to me that since Mr. Lawson wasn't set up to accept Visa payment it would have to be buy cash withdrawal through Visa - which is VERY expensive and would have added greatly to the overall cost. I declined and instead pain Mr. Lawson by check. There were a couple of other problems I had. I'll mention one more. After the windows were installed one of the screens had a tear init and needed to be replaced. Mr. Lawson said he'd be out tomorrow to take care of it. A month later I had to call and remind him about the screen, which he finally did replace. Not telling me the truth about Visa is the most egregious( and potentially very expensive) mistake he made and to my mind borders on criminal.


I wouldn't use them again the future.

I have an older 2 story home with 15 windows. The company worked with me over a 4 or 5 year span to complete the job as I could afford to replace the windows with no increase in price. I purchased a 36in. Entry door with 2 side lights that they installed as well as removed the old door for a price of less than $500

The owner of the busy was easy to talk to. He did not rush through anything. He was very professional, thorough and gave his opinion on what would look nice. They did an excellent job. They subcontracted another company for guttering.

They are wonderful. They were professional and easy to work with. I would use them again if needed.

I chose them because I was an acquaintance with one of the guys. They were pretty fast, it took them only 2 days to complete the project. I signed the contract on Monday and they began in the morning at 10am and by the end of the day they had the roof completely stripped, put it under felt and also had the ice and water shield in place. The next day they came back and put the roofing on. They were quick, responsive and efficient and very hard workers. I thought everything went quite well, but I'm not sure that they are completely finished.

Fantastic! From the initial meeting for the estimate to the completion, this company exuded professionalism and quality. John (I think is his name) is the owner and the one who gave me the estimate. He was patient in explaining all the possible options and was practical in the needs for our house. He was intelligent and knowledgeable regarding the products and was not pushy or aggressive in his sales demonstration. He was able spot a problem with the windows that I had not seen and was able to compensate for that in the installation. His crew was quick, efficient and professional. They were done very quickly considering that we had 11 windows installed. They were not the cheapest estimate we got, but they were well worth the extra that we paid, though that extra was only about 150-200 dollars more than the lowest estimate. If I ever needed something done again in the way of home work, I would call them in a moment.
