I Gave Kenny Daily someone I knew for 20+ years $3500.00 in a check for materials and enough to start the job. My contract said he would tear off shingles, replace any bad wood, put new drip edge on, install new vents, pipe boots and flashing around chimney. He had the dumpster delivered on a Friday. He came the next day, had a 1 man crew, told me I had 5 layers of shingles so it would be more money (1000.00 more) so he could hire people to help and get another dumpster. He said that extra money needed to be paid that day. He tore off a half section of a separate roof on my house that day, the other half the next day. Ice and water barrier papered it. Took the weekend off. It rained Monday so he didn’t come out. Tuesday he came out and tore another little section of a separate roof off and papered that as well. Said he was starting the whole roof tear off Wednesday but never showed, never responded to our texts or calls. The next day he responds saying he couldn’t get ahold of his helper. And none of the others showed up. Same for Thursday..no show. Stopped responding Thursday afternoon. Friday the dumpster was picked up and bc he didn’t pay for any more days. When he did tear off a section he shoved the shingles off onto my new AC unit. Scratched it up and it had nails and shingles inside. He left a tarp full of shingles in the front yard lawn for 4 days. I offered to let him hire my 2 kids to help tear off the roof but he gave me the run around.
