On final walk through of property I was purchasing, noticed leak in barn. Seller's contacted this contractor and had him do an estimate to repair roof. Unfortunately, contractor (Mueller Roofing) did estimate, checks were made out to this contractor at closing to perform repair work to fix leaky roof. Mr. Mueller came out and put some tar on shingle roof which did not seal roof. Mr Mueller was asked why he would quote an estimate of $750 to put tar on roof, when it was clear this was his intent as he came out with nothing other than tar on a shingle roof. He said that he could not repair shingles because they had been coated/sealed. He also said he really doesn't do residential work, commercial work mostly on flat roofs and was doing a favor for an old friend. So in my opinion, this contractor did a bogus bid on behalf of a friend who needed to close the sale of his property. He also said he would be back if his tar did not stop leak. Unfortunately, shortly thereafter it rained, and leak actually worsened. Tried to call contractor several times and left message on answering machine, also with his secretary to return my call and to ultimately fix the leaky roof as he said he would. No call back, nothing. Interesting when he performed the work initially, he told me he puts his name on side of his truck and that his reputation is everything. Well, come to find out your reputation is not holding water, but my barn is. If you happen to read this, why not call me a take care of what you started or at least reimburse me the $750 (checks which I still have which are written out to Mueller roofing at closing).

"Estimate was.for repair of 1 leak on barn roof. As repair was being made, the Member stated that there were 2 other leaks. The Member then asked if he could get a new roof minus the $750. The Member was told that there were roofing contractors that are specialized in replacing barn roofs and that we only repair them. We went ahead and repaired the 2 other locations that the Member stated were leaking, that we did not know of when estimate was done(at no extra cost). We called after heavy rain, the Member stated that the 3 leaks that were repaired was no longer leaking, but was leaking in another location. The Member told us he did not want no more repairs made, but wanted new roof. We forfeited the money, not worth the headache."

He is the old time pride with old time values, it seemed as if they actually cared more about my project than the final bill. They were extremely professional and honest. I'm handicapped and could have easily been taken advantaged of. They are great and I would highly encourage others to use them!
