Really like these guys. Price was estimated by the Dad and the Son came to do the work. The team lead by the son was very careful and clean-up was good and met my expectations. I have used these guys 3 times and I would use them again!

In all honesty I can say that they did good work; however, the problem I have is they took advantage of the situation and goughed the insurance company, which in turn inflates the total claim, which in turn will probably mean an increase in my homeowners insurance. I attempted to negotiate a lower bill but after being threatened with having the bill turned over to a collection agency I was able to pay $8,200 in full satisfaction of the bill.

These guys did great, they showed up, did what they were supposed to do and cleaned up all with in an hour. It was crazy how fast they went!!! One thing though, I ended up getting charged more then what was originally quoted (confusion between who quoted and who I paid) and when I went back to see if I could get the difference back I couldn't get anyone to return my calls. I ended up giving up because it was only around $25/50 difference. Lesson learned, but the way they climbed up the trees and cut them down with out them landing on the wires was pretty cool to watch (from inside of course).

They do a very good job. They are punctual and they are very neat. They clean up after themselves. We would continue to use them in the future.

Dad and son arrived along with the others of a 4 man crew, earlier than anticipated, which was not a problem. The day was brutally hot and humid, which didn't deter these guys from doing an excellent job. They performed the job as if they were a drill team. They wasted no time or unnecessary steps and were very efficient. Clean-up was top notch and the only way I could tell they had been there was the missing tree. They were courteous and professional.

Windstorm on June 4 late afternoon. Knocked down 24 inch diameter oak, part of which fell on roof. Looked in YellowPages and found Edmond's -- ad said they are bonded and worked with insurance. We had no other advice and needed help.

Emergency visit on a Sunday (June 5.) No quote, no questions asked or information given beforehand. Two guys (Timmy and Jimmy) worked tor two hours (hard work on a hot humid day). Left tree debris on ground -- no clean-up whatsoever. Handed us a bill for $3800. Lemme see, that's 3 hours (including drive) for two guys. So let's calculate: 3800/(2*3) = $633 per hour per man. Do brain surgeons make this much? Edmond's are shysters out to screw the insurance company and unsuspecting and unprepared customers. Now the scumbags are threatening to turn us over to a collection agency or charge us 2% monthly interest. We've had quotes from other tree removal services of under $1000 for the same service (with removal!). Our neighbor had a tree fall a few days later and hired the scum-suckers to remove tree. They charged $4800 but took away all debris and this involved quite a bit bigger project including two cherry-picker trucks and stump grinders. Jimmy and Timmy just came with their F-150 and stayed two hours. My wife are considering legal action. At the very least I will start a website to advertise the insurance fraud that these scum-suckers are perpetrating.
Response from EDMONDS TREE SERVICE
"Customer reported an issue regarding price that has already been discussed and settled with AAA Insurance. Edmonds Tree Service has over 60 years experience and formal training, therefore our company performs tree operations with less equipment and time needed to complete jobs efficiently. However, this doesn't change the risk involved in working with storm damaged trees, that in a split second, could fall and kill someone or possibly cause excess damage to the structure. Edmonds Tree Service has a signed contract for customer with clear price of emergency service and pictures of work in progress. I, Tim Emonds, ISA certified arborist, am not a scumbag or a scum sucker. I feel I performed exceptional service at a fair price. Other companies could have easily charged double our price and spent all day with large equipment (cranes and boom trucks) and possibly cracked concrete driveway and/or created ruts in lawn due to heavy equipment. Our work was performed in a timely manner with minimal equipment due to my knowledge and experience with climbing and rigging. To this day, two months later, Edmonds has not received any payments from the customer."

Mr. Edmonds arrived here Friday to do an estimate and to look over the tree and its location. He stated that the crew would either be here Friday afternoon or Saturday morning. The crew of 3 arrived here Saturday morning. They were definitely equipped to do the job and made the whole removal process look easy!. The crew was courteous and friendly and wasted no time in removing the tree and in grinding down the stump and doing the clean up. Clean up was excellent. All 3 crew members removed every scrap of leaves and other debris left overs from the cutting. There was no damage to my grass whatsoever. I would highly recommend Edmond's tree service. They are 100% professional.

It went great. They were easy to schedule an estimate with. I decided hours after the estimate to go with their service, and it was simple to re-contact them and schedule the removal. When they said they would be there Friday at 8AM, they were prompt practically to the second. When they said they would finish by 5PM, they were packing up and leaving at 4:50. The site was left clean as possible with no tire tracks in the yard (they placed down boards) and the job was completed exactly as agreed. These guys are true professionals and would recommend them to anyone in my area looking for tree removal.

They did a good job. They worked fast and cleaned up after themselves. UPDATE: 5/10/2011 While at first I thought they did a good job, later when I needed someone to prepare the landscape for seeding in the very area where Edmonds had supposedly removed and grinded all of the various trees, we found that many of them were not removed at all, and/or they were grinded only to land level and not below. So I had to pay a whole lot more money to finish what they should have done for me. They said they would grind all of the stumps and they did not.

We had a dead tree in the yard of our new house that was fracturing. Called Edmonds as well as others. Tim Edmonds, the owners son, called me with an estimate of $400 to remove the tree and an additional $50 to grind a stump. The arrived at my house to remove the tree 15 minutes before and called for an OK to start. Upon my arrival, the tree was down, cut into chunks and the top was in my driveway ready for the chipper. I asked Tim about grinding a couple more stumps and he asked about the dead trees that were already cut down in my tree line. I told him I wanted to do remove them but with the new house and expenses I was maxed out at $600. Amazingly, he agreed. For my $600 they ground down three stumps, removed the tree and also removed another two trees worth of debris from my tree line. When they were done, the only reason you could tell a tree was removed was the chips that were placed into the stump hole. These guys worked HARD! Very courteous and VERY clean! I would never use anyone else at this point.

Great experience. Very nice crew, professional and respectful. Exceptional clean-up. Particularly appreciated crew boss (Jim Edmonds son) removing an additional tree found to be bad on site. Gave me a good price and peace of mind.

THEY CHARGED WHAT THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD IN THE ESTIMATE. THEY REMOVED A COUPLE OF SHRUBS AND BUSHES FREE OF CHARGE JUST BECAUSE I ASKED THEM TO DO IT. THEY WERE VERY NICE.

I WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH THEM. THEY CAME AND GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE AND STUCK WITH IT. THEY DID NOT PUT ON ANY HIDDEN FEES. THEY CAME WHEN THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO, CUT DOWN THE TREES, AND DID A VERY GOOD JOB OF CLEANING UP THE MESS.
