The Cleaning Authority

We are still clients of The Cleaning Authority, however, we are reconsidering our decision. When we first signed up with them we were told they would make every attempt to have the same people come each time for continuity and consistency. That has not even come close to happening. One week a two person crew came in for an hour and charged us the $92.00 rate. Needless to say the job was sub-par. We had also set up a time for them to come...after 12 Noon...so I am not in their way as I am getting ready for work. That has been a struggle as well. One day I opened my bathroom door after showering to find someone making our bed...awkward! Another time as I tried to leave I had to wait for one of the cleaning people to move her car from our driveway before I could back out of the garage. They also pride themselves on doing deep cleaning on a rotating basis. I honestly can't see any difference in any area of the house when they are finished. On first glance it looks clean...until you start living in it. I deliberately left crap on the kitchen floor for two months waiting to see if it got cleaned up...I finally did it myself. The only time the house truly looked and felt clean was after the first two initial cleans...and those cleans had occurred shortly after I had already thoroughly cleaned the house and decided I was tired of spending my weekends cleaning. Frankly, I am not real happy with the service we receive considering the amount they charge. I would like to see more consistency with their service and a better job of cleaning. If those things can be fixed I would consider staying with them. If not, then I guess I have to start looking again.

By far the WORST cleaning service I have ever used! To call the services spot cleaning would be very generous! And the customer service was even worse. Concerns were responded to only when services were threatened to be cancelled. I would NEVER recommend this service to anyone!!!!!! It is like lighting your money on fire. I continued only because they gave a free cleaning and a reduced cleaning in response to my concern out of guilt. The final cleaning was absolutely ridiculous!!!! Debris visible throughout house, hair still on bathroom sinks, rugs not even touched, and no response from the owner except to be treated like my expectations were unreasonable. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY LIKE I DID!!!!!!!

The two ladies they send are wonderful and excellent cleaning ladies. However, the owner kept increasing the price every year. We are seniors and our home is very small. It takes them an hour and fifteen minutes to clean. He is now up to $93.00 per clean, which is high for our small home. Would leave this company and find another more reasonable company if not for the two ladies they send. They are familiar with our home and are quick and efficient.

The first cleaning two ladies arrived, didn't introduce themselves and were both on their cellphones. When they finished talking they plugged in their phones. Then acknowledged that I was present, not a good start. The first time was to be a "detail" cleaning of the kitchen and bathrooms. They finished in less than an hour, hmmm!! They forgot to vacuum the stairs. Second time was a different two cleaners so had to go over directions again. This time other rooms were to be detailed, again less than an hour was spent. Laundry room wasn't touched. All the floors are hardwood with exception of the master bedroom. They have a little shoulder vacuum thing for the floors but I never saw them use it, only on carpeted stairs. Had upright for carpet. I stayed upstairs while they cleaned and came down to the hardwood being sort of wet mopped and the dirt and debris being pushed in front of the mop. Not my idea of cleaning, I did not want my hardwood broom swept, they don't have a dust mop or an adequate vacuum. I'm not sure they ever understood that I wanted my upholstery vacuumed thoroughly with the cushions rotated. In total I had them clean four times and each time they cleaned for about 45 minutes or less. Each time there was a problem with some area "forgotten". I think two people would have to be super human to thoroughly clean over 2000 square feet in less than 45 minutes. The owner, Donnis, was always very responsive to my complaints and I really feel like he wanted the job to be perfect but it just didn't translate to his workers.

I had another team than usual and they missed some things. I will always ask for Team 7 they are great and do everything you ask. I am unable to to do the lower baseboard cleaning and lower cleaning of my furniture. Team 7 makes sure it is spotless and no dirt or dust when they leave.

Hired them back in the spring after our first private cleaning service was unreliable and mediocre cleaning. Terry and his crew are WONDERFUL!! They are always here when they say they will be, they do a reasonable job cleaning and they are trustworthy. I did have one time when one of the floors was missed and the manager came out and did a thorough inspection the next time. Also, they use their own cleaning supplies but I didn't feel that the dusting was getting clean enough for my daughter with allergies so I asked they use my own furniture polish and they happily complied. Most impressive…today Terry (the manager) came out and cleaned my house HIMSELF because three of his people called in sick. He said he did not want us to be disappointed that we didn't get our house cleaned on the day we were expecting it. This shows how committed to good customer service he is. He could've very easily rescheduled. If you want a cleaning service that comes when they say they will and actually listens to you so you get good service, then these are the people you need to call.

They come on time, there are two on a team and they move fast in yet detailed with a check off list. love how they maintain my home.
