NAPIER DRYWALL

Everything they did was superb.  All the repairs were done with care and, once painted, you could not tell those areas from new.  In the master suite project, all the work was very well done and has aged well, except for one small part of a drywall seam that cracked after 5 years, cause unknown but more likely due to house settling than bad drywall work (that was one of the repairs this time around).  One impressive feat was a skylight opening in an angled roof over a bathroom with  a flat ceiling, and where the skylight flared on all four sides, resulting in a complex, multiple angles.  Napier was able to curve the drywall across multiple planes, with a beautiful result.

I installed roughly 10 sheets of new drywall, removed wall paper from a rental property I'm renovating. A fair amount of drywall paper came off with the wallpaper.  Napier drywall was contracted to apply joint compound to the old / new board.  Drywall contractors don't seem to want small jobs like this and they are the only ones who gave me a bid.  One employee worked on the job - he started one day late (no big deal) and worked 3 consecutive days (not sure how many hours, but less than 9 hrs per day because I unlocked / locked before and after work) to finish the work.  I'm happy with the result.  I had to call them back to do an area they missed.  The price seems high (~$60 per hour), I've done better previously with a guy who's since retired.  It beat doing it myself - it's the one thing in home repair that I just can't seem to get the hang of.  Professionalism of their management was high.  The employee, less so - he could have picked up after himself.

The job went very well.  They were fast and did a great job.  I was very happy with them and would use them again.

Self-installed drywall for two new walls and a ceiling needed a professional finish, especially since the walls had to match textured walls in a style that probably hasn't been used in 25 years. Also, the ceiling required a smooth finish. The texture on the walls was done perfectly, it ended up blending seamlessly into the existing. I was very pleased with their work and the workers were very friendly and conscientious about protecting carpet and cleaning after the job was complete. The smooth ceiling wasn't as seamless as the texture on the walls (I could see at least 2 of the seams), but after a flood immediately following the work, the ceiling was textured to conceal the seams.
