Lake City Clearance Center

Had one day of the week off when I could drive up to N. Webster, IN to hopefully buy a mattress. N. Webster is approx. 20 - 25 minutes one way from my home. I located Lake City Clearance at around 12:10 p.m. to find it all dark and the not open sign on the door. I was there during the open hours stated. I went into the dog grooming place located next door and asked if they knew if this was unusual or had they just stepped out for lunch perhaps? The lady in there said she hadn't really seen them keep normal hours for months. Not a great way to run a business. Needless to say, I will be doing business else where and will not be recommending Lake City Clearance to anyone. What happened to customer service?

On the day of delivery and at the time we were expecting our purchases to be delivered we received a phone call from this company saying we owed more money and they would be charging us monthly. My husband tried to explain to this guy on the phone that were was a mistake and that this monthly charge was never explained to us. The guy from the company was extremely rude and would not work with us in any manner and would not even let us talk to a manager about the issue. He then told us that we signed a contract agreeing to these terms and in which we would have had to of been in the store to sign. My husband purchased the couch and chair over the phone and never set foot in a store. We even got a copy of this forged contact. We then called the guy that we actually worked with the day we made all the arrangements and got hung up on several times. All in all we finally got our $385 back by disputing it through our bank, and the delivery never happened after all. We got several stories about how the truck left 2 hours ago and should be here any minute, oh no really they're just now leaving, who knows if we were ever really going to get our furniture. I am very displeased in how this company treated us and how they handled the matter.

We purchased a home in the Pierceton area. Looked into several locations and vendors for furniture and mattresses for the place. Was not satisfied with the places we looked at until we found Lake City Clearance Center. Prices were so reasonable we thought that this would probably be some kind of bare bones operation. We were pleasantly surprised to find that we were wrong. The owner could not have been more helpful and accommodating. We are extremely happy with our purchase and the way the transaction transpired. HIGHLY RECOMMEND you look into this company before you make your next purchase.
