Riju Dawg Skool

I have been taking obedience with June and Rich for about15 months. They are excellent in noticing the small things we do that either contribute to our success as dog or diminish it. They also understand dog behavior and ways to modify it. I have a dog that is terribly reactive to other dogs, some men, and children. She has vastly improved at Riju Dawg Skool.
Thanks largely to June, my dog got her CD (novice title), qualifying 3 out of 3 tries!

I would recommend classes, giving the dogs to them or at home training to anyone. I have done all three- and would highly recommend all options. If you let them train your dog at their home, I would recommend letting them work with the dog for at LEAST 2 weeks and if you can afford it, one month. They love dogs and train them to be great pets. They also work with the parents of the dogs because they can only do so much - the work is with the owners. Please give them a try.

It's going great! June is a deservedly highly sought after dog trainer (by folks who know!). She's a hidden gem that deserves more attention than she gets. Her timing is impeccable and her observations of dog behavior are 'spot on'. My dog is not a particularly 'easy' dog but she has been so helpful in training me to train this dog. She doesn't treat you as if you don't know anything (well, only if you don't - ha, ha!). I like the fllexibility she brings to her classes and the different breeds she works with (and the personalities of both dog and owner). We also have fun and aren't afraid to laugh. This is important to me because training can be sooo frustrating at times and you have to be able to release the tension. Some places I've gone to are waaay too serious for me. June is serious when she needs to be and hilarious when she can be. She and her husband Rich are a great team.
Her credentials are excellent. She has titled many dogs in competition, and is very ring saavy. But even if you have no desire for the show ring, she will help you and your dog become better partners. I am very happy I found Riju Dawg Skool!

I originally took my Boxer to a different school, and it was h***. It was huge, more than a hundred dogs there, and chaotic.
At RIJU, the classes are much smaller, maybe 12 at most in a class. You get one on one, plus group work, which is excellent.
Plus you and your dog learn and have fun while you're at it! I just can't reccomend this Dog School enough!

I have trained all six of my dogs with Riju, over many years, did and will always use them when I adopt a new dog. Jake and Rich, really understood dogs and owners.

Classes were elementary at start and progressed as dogs become better and better at following commands through practice.

Riju's Skool service went very well. I liked the fact that they do training in groups. I would recommend them to others.
