We were very happy with them. Since that time we had lots of trouble getting them to come back out to get an estimate. So, I would say getting additional work done by them has been impossible. On responsiveness, for the job done an A, but for additional estimates, I would say a D. I would use them again if I could get them to come out, sure. It went well the workers were easy to work with, so it went well.

We first meet Matt at the Hamilton County Home Show. He was very friendly and answered all our questions. About a year later we received a couple of estimates from 2 companies. Refine's estimate was considerably less than the other. We decided to go with Refine. We meet with Matt and his contractor, Paul at our house to go over details of the estimate and to answer any questions that we had. We also meet them at their showroom to discuss design items and pick out tile, etc. On several occasions, they would meet us after business hours to accommodate our schedule. They both were always friendly, professional and knowledgable. Paul even gave us tips on another home project we were doing ourselves. They gave us a rough estimate to a start date based on material arrival. In the meantime, we did our own demolition to save some money. They started the project just when they said they would and had it completed earlier than expected. The tile installer, Todd did a fantastic job putting in the shower and floor tile. Paul was super to work with. Anytime I would text him with a question, he would almost immediately call me back to answer my questions. When the plumbers had not replaced the water valves as expected, Paul had them back out within 2 hours to correct their oversight. The overall quality of work was excellent. The communication with Matt and Paul exceeded our expectations.

We did buy several items on our own with Refine's guidance. They even told us on some items that we could get it cheaper if we would purchase through the big box stores. In total, we spent $10,000. We can't say enough of how enjoyable it was to work with Refine. We will definitely use them again for our master bathroom which we are planning now.

There were a lot of issues along the way. They finished about a year ago. This was our first winter with the remodel. I went to get in the tub and the water was frozen. They rerouted the pipes behind the bath where an uninsulated room is, without letting me know. They were originally routed around the front of the tub. They claimed that they didn't do anything different, but I have pictures to the contrary. We lived her for 2 years, through record cold winters, and never had any issues. I called Refined and they said they would come out and fix the issue. They sent an employee out, on 2 separate occasions, who was not qualified. Then they never got back with me after the 2nd visit. In the mean time the pipes froze again. I then called an insulation specialist who fixed the issue to the tune of $800.00. I emailed Refined back and got a very unprofessional response from them. I also keep running into issues with my toilet leaking. It was determined that the flange was installed too low to create a seal. I emailed Matt to let him know about that as well. Matt claims that the tub was insulated with R19, which my insulation specialist disputes. He also said that the toilet flange was cracked and had to be replaced. The flange is clearly cracked now. Matt says he is not willing to pay any bills "based on these accusations".
Response from Refine Kitchens Baths & Floors
"This client has never paid for the work that was completed and is now delinquent 365 days as of today. We were told 8 months after work was completed that she had a toilet issue but called someone else to fix it. We were only informed of this after we tried to collect the remainder of the contract balance. She was told that if another service provider touched our work within the warranty period than the warranty would be voided. The flange in question was replaced by a qualified/licensed plumber in the beginning and set correctly. There is no code that states what this customer is claiming. The claim regarding insulation around the garden tub is without merit. The garden tub is located within the interior of the master bathroom and the adjacent was is insulated. This was verified when our (2) employees went to the house per her request and opened the wall to visually inspect for insulation. (we never touched the exterior walls, tub was pulled and deck was tiled and licensed plumber reconnected water lines and new drain assembly). During the visit, our employees were taken in to the basement where another contractor was working, the homeowner openly admitted that this contractor allowed the water lines to freeze. Bottom line is that we have always and will always take care of anything we are responsible for."

Everything went well.  Matt and Paul were very helpful with planning the project, selection of granite, sink & faucet.  Tear down & removal, and the new install went as planned.  The plumber, Brian Hunter (Hunter Plumbing), was very helpful & professional (We will use again).  The kitchen looks amazing.

Refine was the contractor used by Lowes to complete our bathroom remodel, and we are extremely happy with the process and the results. Bob Irey, his foreman Dustin, and their crew were all very professional, friendly, and responsive to any questions or concerns. The workmanship is excellent and it was apparent their top priority was to see us happy with our new bathroom.  Refine did a complete tear-out of the existing space and did full tile (with a heated floor), cabinets, granite surfaces, and a glassed-in shower.  The project was not without some minor issues along the way (mostly materials/parts), but Refine dealt with each problem, put our minds at ease, and kept every promise to do the job right.  Friends and family who have seen the work have all commented on the quality and attention to details. We love Lowes, but we'll go straight to Refine for any construction work we need done in the future (kitchen, floors, roof).  We would highly recommend them to anyone planning a remodeling project.

In general, very well. We combined our concept of what we wanted with their ideas of what was possible in our budget. Refine was reasonable in their pricing compared to other quotes and we liked the ideas they presented. Dustin was the project manager and is very detail oriented and made sure our finished product looked custom built.

NASR personnel were prompt and courteous and performed excellent work at a fair price.  When Joseph first arrived to look at the job he fixed an item even though he thought he was not under contract yet (he actually was).  That inspired confidence and the NASR is highly recommended.

Bob showed up at the initial appointment as scheduled, seemed very professional. However, I have not heard anything since he left my house. I have made attempts via email an phone messages to see what is up. I guess they are too busy with their current jobs to take on anymore - would have been better if they had been honest that they were backed up and did not want the work rather than no response.

Poor quality workmanship, chipped tiles in floor and shower, tile floor is not level. Tile accent pieces are not cut properly. Project ended 3 weeks after target completion date.

Easy to work with. Professional, kept pretty much to schedule, willing to work within budget. Few minor bumps might have been avoided with better communication between staff and sub-contractors. Overall highly satisfied.
