When we dropped the clock off, the owner's son told us that it would be 90-120 days for a cleaning and replacement of springs. At 90 days, I called to check on the clock and was told that they were behind in their repairs, and it would be closer to the 120 day mark. I called again at 120 days and was told that they had used the last of the springs needed for our clock and would have to order more. The owner's daughter-in-law assured me it would be ready in two weeks. My husband called after two weeks and was told the clock would be ready in another two weeks. We called again after that two weeks and were told that it would be another week. When they finally called to say the clock was ready, the owner told my husband that they did not have to replace the springs, that it just required cleaning and a little fine tuning. Why that would take over six months from our drop-off date is beyond me. The clock seems to be running great now, but I really felt like we got the run around, and they had our clock for an unnecessarily long time. I wish they would have just told us that they had more clock repairs than they could handle.

He did a great job with the clock.  It cost a lot more than he orginially estimated.  He did not call and tell me how much it was going to cost until after he repaired the clock. The workmanship is great he did an excellent job and I would use him again if I had a clock to be repaired.

He was courteous, timely and knowledgeable. The cost was less than what we thought it would be. Would use them again.

Brought non-working 100 year old spring driven clock in to discuss options. The staff is very knowledgeable and understood the model and possible issues. After on-site analysis they felt a basic service / cleaning was all that was required. They estimated 30 days to complete the work and quoted $250.

Two weeks later they called and said the clock was ready (ahead of schedule). It has been two weeks since completion of repairs and the clock is running fine, all feature work including the calendar and chime and it keeps good time.

A very frustrating experience. We should have checked Angie's list first and lt;red-facedand gt;.
He picked up the mechanism on 11/10/11, said it only needed cleaning and that he probably couldn't get it done by Thanksgiving but and quot;by Christmas - if possibleand quot; (written on the receipt). After numerous phone calls over the next 4 months, always with an excuse of his being shorthanded and extending the expected date, he finally jobbed the cleaning out. A few weeks later it was done and he reinstalled it in the longcase and made sure it ran and the chimes were working on 3/6/12.
Clark is an elderly gentleman, very personable, and evidently does good work, but he should set more reasonable goals and not accept new work until he gets caught up. It should not take 4 months to do a simple cleaning (e.g. - the place he jobbed it out to only took a couple of weeks).
We will definitely choose another clock repair shop from Angie's List next time.

He was excellent. He is an elderly gentleman. He does not do the job quickly, but he is great. He does not work on really small clocks. He will be charging $35 for fixing the clock, which I think is a reasonable price. The pendulum is missing and he is replacing it. He knows what he is doing with the clock. He has a reputation for knowing what he does. He is fair. He does the work at the estimated price. He is good at doing things even though he is an elderly gentleman. I do not think you should hold that against him. He is the only one who does the work. So, you have to wait. I will use his services again in the future.

The owner's excuse for this unforgivable delay is that he is the only person to do the repairs and he works as quickly as possible. Given the fact that Angie's List lists numerous clock repair buinesses in the area, he could have sought to job the repair out. Or at least tried to do so. If he had tried and failed, I could be more understanding. There is no excuse for taking ten months to repair a clock and to adopt the attitude that it was out of his control. I recommend that unless your real intention is to banish your clock for a year, you should avoid the Noblesville Clock Company.

We have called repeatedly for our repaired clock and they keep telling us that the works have to come from Germany. They told us months ago that the parts had been ordered but their response sense then has been the same... that they're still waiting. I called him a month or so ago (early Feb 2010) and we threatened to call an attorney. We haven't done that but did feel reporting him here at the very least was necessary. We're hoping Angie's List can help us resolve this issue. The company's last response to us was it would be ready in 2 weeks... that was now more than 2 weeks ago. This has become quite stressful and agrivating to say the least. We've experienced ignored responses by phone when we've attempted other calls to him as well. We've not given him any payment on the grandfather clock as of yet, but when we at one point were frustrated we told him to just bring back the old parts and forget it.. the company wanted $300 just to bring back the unworking insides.

They cleaned and serviced an antique mantle clock. Their customer service was good. They people were pretty nice. The price was a little high for my liking but I think that is normal.

My husband purchased the clock on e-bay and the hands broke shortly after we received it. When we took it in for repair, we were given an estimate for the hand replacement, but we asked that it be evaluated for any further necessary service. Later, we received a call telling us what it would take and cost to bring the works up to good working order. We happily gave the okay. When we picked up the clock today, Mr. Tony Van Tassel took the time to explain exactly how the clock worked, the history of this type of clock, what had been done to repair the clock and what we should do to maintain ongoing. We couldn't have been more pleased. The Van Tassel family obviously takes pride and pleasure in their work. One word of note, clocks take a long time to repair. Ours was there for over a year. It's worth the wait.
