Lunar Construction Companies

Lunar Companies replaced our driveway in August 2021. Due to the size, they poured roughly half of it on back-to-back days. The "Day 1" concrete looks great and is the correct color (white/gray). The "Day 2" concrete is an ugly brownish color. After paying in full, I voiced my complaint about the difference in color between the two sections. Their response was "there's nothing that can be done, and we cannot control the color of the concrete from our supplier/manufacturer." Worst $20,000 purchase I have ever made.

Lunar was very professional and responded to my email inquiry right away and scheduled an appointment to come to my house the following day. They kept in touch throughout the process and were always responsive to my questions. When it was discovered there was a concrete slap under the existing deck, we worked around and the cost was adjusted since fewer materials were used.

Very impressed with Lunar. They responded to my email request within 24 hours with an approximate estimate and came to visit the following day. They were always timely with questions. When it turned out a concrete slap was under my wood deck, they worked around it and refund the difference because less materials were used.

We gave them the design and they copied it to the T.  The guys were very hard working, even worked through the RAIN!!  It looks better than the picture we started with because they put a nice edge on the wood and finished it out beautifully.  Very professional, well spoken crew and they cleaned up so well there's not even a splinter left behind,

The guys from Lunar Construction came out and gave us an estimate to replace our old fence with a new cedar fence. They were very professional and quick to respond to us. The crew installing the fence were equally impressive and professional. We couldn't be happier with the over experience and quality of job they did!

Nathan was the sales guy that came and gave us our quote.  He sold us on the quality of work that the installers do, as well as the all round professionalism that he showed us. They respected our timeframe of when we wanted to schedule the project. The installers not only did quality work, but were very professional as well. They communicated with us on all aspects, from the sales process until the project was complete. We will definitely refer them to our neighbors, friends and family!

were great to I met Nathan salesperson/contractor at the 2015 Indiana Home show and made an appointment to meet with him to discuss installing a pergola on the patio,etc. The estimate provided for installing a custom builded pergola and replacing decking and installing treated decking on the lower deck was very reasonable. We also added a few custom features to the pergola and the upper deck.  The carpenters work was very good, they were professional, customer friendly, timely and cleaned up the work area daily. The entire experience was outstanding and the deck and pergola looks great!  Justin and Dustin were great to work with during this project.

They were out and quickly gave an estimate. Did a wonderful job. When I found out that the missed an access panel in the decking, they came out the next day to put one in. Would recommend.

Everything went well as expected. Everyone that I spoke with at Lunar construction, including the actual deck installers were very professional. They took the time to answer any questions my wife and I had. We are planing on building an arbor over our deck later this year and will be calling them back to do the work!

We started the process with the basic Trex deck colors and layout we desired.  Lunar was there to provide expertise and make recommendations in order to get the best results for the deck.  We wanted to use Trex accent colors and also construct a custom planter box.  Every expectation was met or exceeded and I wouldn't hesitate to have them back to our home for additional projects.  The number of compliments we have received on this new deck is a testament to the design and construction quality.  The guys building the deck were respectful and cleaned up after the project was complete.  They were also timely and worked hard the entire time they were on site.

We just purchased a home that had a deck that was in need of repair. Nathan came out and looked at the deck and gave us a good price. Lunar Construction went out of their way to make sure the deck was repaired before we moved into the house. The quality of work was outstanding and I would recommend them to anyone!

Several days later and at the first opportunity, workers showed up to dig down against the foundation to reach the point where the water line entered my basement. The digging location was behind the a/c unit, a very confining area. The workers were extremely careful in their work and finished in about two hours. I really appreciate Brent Herron's cooperation and sense of urgency to fix the problem to stop water from leaking into my basement. Thank you!

The deck came out perfect. They completed the entire project while I was on vacation. Nothing like coming home to a new custom deck!

Our service line broke during the inclement weather (-15 degrees) of the winter of 2014. The repair required digging 4 feet down under the surface, finding the leak and making the repair. Prior to finding Lunar, we had other companies say they would come out (and never did) or upon seeing the scope of the problem indicated that the job was too much for them given the horrible weather (cold temps and snow). Meanwhile we were without water in the house. Lunar set up a date and time, gave us a fair estimate which was the same amount as the bill. What impressed us the most, was that Lunar assessed the situation promptly, gave us a fair price, did an excellent repair and there were no surprises.

Tore out screen porch decking. Installed footers and concrete for screened porch and separate platform on another section of our house. Poured porch and walkway. Excellent to work with.

Our experience lasted between late 2007-2009. -There was total destruction in our yard. Their equipment was way to big. -Other companies did the same work and did not damage our yard the way that Lunar construction had. -It took 4 large trucks filled with replacement dirt to repair the damage. -The city of Carmel suggested that Lunar Construction install a pressure reducer. Advice that owner, Brad Moon, did not take; resulting in a pipe burst just one day after installation. -Brad Moon was unresponsive to this issue, telling us he was unable to fix the problem for a ?few days. We had NO water. -He later said the City of Carmel didn?t suggest this to him, but I was able to confirm that they had indeed given this advice. The system held up until May when we had a backup. ARS came out and resolved this issue. Everything was good until about November when we began to smell a foul odor. Our system had backed up. Water was overflowing and carpet was damaged. We called ARS out again (at 10:30 on a Sunday night). They had dig up yard to find this problem. They used an exploratory camera and were able to find the source of the problem. A pipe installed by Lunar Construction had popped. There was not enough sand to secure the pipe. It had settled only on one end of the pipe causing it to burst. ARS installed a ?boot? to fix this problem. I wouldn?t suggest this company to anyone.

Brad and his team installed added a stone patio to my existing lanai and did a fantastic job. He made design and color recommendations to the patio and it turned out absolutely beautiful. His team was very professional and cleaned up after each visit. I absolutely love my patio! Thanks Brad!

We wanted to put a screened in porch on backside of our house and add a paver/Brussels Block patio. We hired Lunar construction to: 1) expand the existing 12 x 12 concrete foundation (to 14 x 14); 2) add a paver patio that would cover the expanded concrete; 3) extend the paver patio into our yard. The screened in porch (which Lunar didn't do) would go on top of the paver covered expanded concrete area. We used pavers for the screened in porch floor as well to blend in to the patio. The total square footage was on the order of 700 sq ft. Lunar did an excellent job from start to finish. Please note that Lunar does most of their work for a large builder(s) in the area and don't advertise/market for their residential business (only two Angie's List ratings - both A's - because they don't market/advertise). We were lucky to find them via a neighbor. I met with Brad (owner) to discuss the design we had in mind for the patio he provided some additional design ideas that I also incorporated into the final design and quickly (24 hours) came back with a quote. The quote was a fair amount cheaper than the two other A-rated Angie's List quotes that I had for the job so we decided to hire Lunar for the work. Brad was clear on what was going to happen over the next week or so. He also warned me that the yard would probably be torn up due to the movement of the large quantity of stones from the street to the back yard. Brad made it clear that they would fix the yard when they were done. The Lunar team made sure that no heavy equipment (e.g. concrete trucks) came anywhere in the yard (all concrete was moved by wheel-barrows and stones via Bobcat). It was obvious from day one that they Lunar team know exactly what they were doing. They arrived at 9:00 every day and put in a full days work. Two interesting things to note. About half-way through the job Brad asked me a question about something in my design that we had requested but didn't make sense no that it was partially implemented. He told me that he had another idea that might work better. His idea was much better but more importantly, he was willing to pull out all of the pavers he had planted based on my idea, "just to make it right". This change would have cost him at least a day but he was willing to do this, even know the design flaw was mine, just to make sure I was satisfied. A second story involves two (10 feet and 14 feet) curved sitting walls that our design called for. What Brad found was that the way the pavers designed to make a curve came didn't curve at the correct angle so Brad's team had to double cut each stone in the wall (5 layers of stone times 24 feet each cut twice...lost of stone to be cut) because if he didn't, "it would not look perfect" - amazing. A couple of things to note that were constant throughout the entire process: 1) They always cleaned up; 2) They were very courteous to me and my family, and; 3) They were always communicating with me about the job. When the job was completed the fixed the yard as promised by bringing in a lot of top soil to cover the yard (and also seeded). Overall I would recommend Lunar Construction without hesitation!

We contracted with Lunar Excavating to put in our water and sewer line hook-ups to the city pipes. They gave us a reasonable bid and performed the job in an outstanding manner. We received several other bids but Lunar won because they were very responsive, were willing to explain anything and everything we asked and did exactly what they said they would do. Everyone with whom we dealt was very caring and professional. The owner of the company sets a high standard and his staff works at that standard.
