As I mentioned previously, I have never written a review of any shape or form. I do read reviews before buying products and services though. I felt obligated after my experience to write this review to warn others of what to expect. I am a regular shopper at Lowe's but do not like the way they handled my business. I will not use their installation services again and will discourage anyone else to do the same. I never felt like anyone went the extra mile for me. There was no personal touch or attention to detail In the end I got the same "run-around" that I thought I was avoiding by going to Lowe's.
The refrigerator was delivered first since it was in stock. The delivery went well. The guys were on time and very nice. My only disappointment was that the guys didn't remove all of the plastic wrap that is involved in protecting stainless steel appliances. The guys seemed a little hurried. My husband and I probably spent another hour picking the rest of the plastic off. We did get a call from Lowe's later making sure everything went well.
The other 3 appliances were special order so they were delivered a few days later. Again the installer called in advance , was on time and did a great job. He let me take time to clean where my stove and dishwasher had been. These are both appliances you don't pull out to clean behind easily. He actually ran the dishwasher part of a cycle to make sure it didn't leak. He heated up the stove and ran it to burn off any potential odor and again insure everything was fine. He also tested the microwave, set the clocks on the stove and microwave. He gave us some tips on use and made sure we knew the books for each were there too. He got all of the plastic off the stainless steel and just really seemed to want to make sure we had a good experience. Toward the end of his installation a gal from Lowe's came by to see how everything was going. Again they seemed to want to please us. We got another call that evening from Lowe's making sure we didn't have any questions. Both crews did a good job in protecting the floors, doorways and surroundings in getting everything in and out.
As for the appliances themselves they are what we selected and so far so good. We are pleased and hope they continue to work well for a long, long time.
