Lew's Plumbing and Drain Cleaning

Look no further and call Lew Plumbing! Chris and David were amazing! For a couple months my kitchen sink had been draining very slowly, then Thanksgiving did it in and the Friday after Thanksgiving it would not drain at all. We had another big company come out and who had two different plumbers come out, couldn't get it and then had someone come out to quote us to have the drain rerouted because the piping was "crushed" in the slab. It was a lie. They just didn't want to take the time to continue to snake the drain to break it free. Chris and David came out, spent about 3 hours on the working the line and FINALLY got thru it. He knew the other company was just trying to sell us on a big job. Seriously, call them! They're worth it! I will only be calling them in the future for any plumbing needs!

I had Lew's Plumbing install a sump pump that I purchased myself. Their estimate was 2 hrs at $142/hr plus materials. After 2.75 hours their guy told me the pump wasn't working properly and was apparently defective. I then spoke with the manufacturer and asked them to sent me a replacement pump, which they did on the condition that I return the defective one. I received the replacement, but decided not to have it installed right away. Soon after, there was some heavy rain and I observed that the pump appeared to be working properly. I tested the pump thoroughly and as far as I could tell it worked properly every time. I spoke with someone at Lew's Plumbing and told them the pump that their guy said was defective seemed to be working properly. They did not offer any apology. At this point, I have to conclude that their guy was either incompetent or trying to overcharge me by spending more time than was necessary. I gave them a chance to make it right by sending their guy back out at no charge to make sure the pump was not defective, but they declined. On top of all time I had to spend testing the pump, I also have to take time to return the replacement pump that I apparently didn't need in the first place.

They took care of the problem immediately. I was pleased with their work. The technicians were knowledgeable and anxious to get the project done properly. They were easy to communicate with and were all business and went right to work.

They are TOP NOTCH...we were so impressed by the quality of work, professionalism, timeliness, etc. We will DEFINITELY refer others to their company!

We hired them to fix a water line the previous winter and were happy with the price and the job done. Joel was very professional and did good work on that job. So we hired them again to solve this problem. The first and third visits we were handed an invoice, and I paid them right then, but we were not handed one on the second visit. I assumed that was on them, since they were still trying to fix what they were unable to fix. I talked to the owners wife more than once, and she offered to have her husband call me. He never did. They did not have a camera that would fit down the basement drain, and the owner, Chris told me, the only time we talked, that if it was his house, he would just put concrete down the drain. I am glad we didn't do that because we later found out from a third party at the Indiana Home Show that there are plugs to put in the drain. 4.00 later, that fixed the smell. I always pay my bills but this one made me mad. I finally paid it to get her off my back. I told her I had been waiting for his call and she said he has just been so busy.

Lew's did a professional job and were very easy to work with on the project.  Their pricing was very reasonable compared to the other three bids we received. We highly recommend them.

Great.  Arrived within an hour of initial call and drove off within a 1/2 hr after arriving (with job completed).

I had them out for a free estimate on my sump pump, it ended up being fine so I had them look at my toilet which had been acting kindof weird. The tech said they needed new flappers, no problem and he would order it. i have them out a week later to install them and the bill was $149 for 2 $7 parts and about 10 minutes labor. I was shocked. They never called me with an estimated price; she said people usually don't ask. They said they were only charging me for one trip fee, but the first one was a free estimate so I'm not sure I was getting a deal there.

Lew's Plumbing is a family owned company with family owned values.  i am selling my home and dealing with a time crunch on inspection issues (oh the joy!).  Lew's Plumbing took time out of their busy schedule to review my plumbing inspection items and get back with me on a quote...and they did this over email which was very convenient considering time is so precious when selling a home.  
I did not use Lew's Plumbing for the sole reason that we have decided not to address the buyer's request due to being a very minor issue.  I would not hesitate to call Michelle or any member of the Lew's Plumbing team for any future plumbing needs.

Our home buyer insisted on getting the outdoor spigot replace even though the problem was a corroded o-ring on the vacuum break (a $0.25 part).  This is where Lew's comes in and replaced our spigot in less than an hour.  I would highly recommend them to anyone. 

I originally found on Angie's list and called Thornton Plumbing, but they could not come right away and recommended we call Lew's.  After checking out Lew's reviews on Angie's list, I called them.  Chris came out after hours to replace a saddle valve that failed.  He was fast and professional.  The cost was quite reasonable considering he came after regular business hours.

Everything went great, They showed up on time. Chris kept me informed of the progress as they worked. He suggested the change in the Kitchen drain line. The final price matched the estimate.

I couldn't be happier with the work and I would most definitely use them again.

In November we called for Lew's to return to resolve the same issue that they had corrected less than a year before, which had returned.  Gurgling and bubbling in sink and toilet.
They sent crews into our house five times over two months, not counting  two no shows.     Each time they came I had to be there so I lost all the time they were scheduled to be there.  That's a lot.  There was disagreement between individuals who came out, about diagnosis, so they repeatedly said the owner would be coming next time. 
They kept saying Cris (owner) would come next time but he never did.   Sometimes they called and couldn't make it  or would be late, but I had  already stayed home to be there anyway.   They did some checking trying to find the problem but fixed nothing.  Several times.  Then they said they were pretty sure that the problem was in a drain that was inside the house, but they wouldn't come again to fix it until  there was a warmup in the weather, and would be here to fix it right away at the thaw.   That made no sense to me as it was an inside problem.    
The Warmup came but Lew's didn't return as promised.  After a warm week or two we called and were told they had people ahead of us now and couldn't make it until another week or so.  We had been waiting for them to fix it since November and to be put back to the end of the list was the last straw.   They had not and apparantly were not going to come back when it warmed up after all.  
We have had enough of Lew's Plumming.   If they can't fix a problem in five visits they are incompetent.   Saying they would send the owner but not doing it shows dishonesty.   Not to mention adding insult to injury.  We thought finally we might get a resolution as promised at the first thaw, but I guess he was just to busy to keep his word.   
Now they have sent us a bill.   A bit of humor perhaps?    
I have attempted to talk with the owner but he does not return calls.  
We would much prefer to provide positive reviews, and you know that we do that.   In this case however  the lack of professionalism was so flagrant  and they made it clear that they had no concern for the customers' time or in correcting the problem.   Just in getting paid for spending time in our house I guess.  Five times.

They were professional, courteous and explained all of our options. Pricing was great and MUCH cheaper than the competition. highly impressed. This will now be the only plumber we use.

They were on time, courteous, efficient , polite. They even cleaned up after themselves. Really nice guys!! Tried to hire from our town but couldn't find a plumbing company interested in the job. That was disappointing because you want to support your town but after much frustration decided to take a chance on this company and we were so very glad we did!! Would hire them again and recommend to everyone !!!! Wonderful experience !!!!

Very thorough and professional. I believe I have found a trustworthy plumber and will call Chris again if needed.

Our sump pump gave out last fall and flooded or unfinished basement. Lew's came out on a Sunday during a Colt's football game and removed old sump pump and installed a new one. At the time we were not sure if we wanted to do a battery powered back up or a water powered back up. We finally decided on the water powered and had Lew's come back out and install it for us.
Install was great and we are very happy. I would highly recommend Lew's plumbing.

I thought I had drained space with sump pump and hose. I hadn't.and worker stepped in water. Lew's connected another pump and hose to speed things up and came back later to do the work at no extra charge.

Fast, clean and professional. Much better than Mr. Plumber. We will be using them moving forward for our plumbing needs.
