We wrote a negative review in 2022 because Indy Sports Outfitters was months late installing padding in our golf simulator and was not returning our calls over the period of 3 months. Soon after we posted negative reviews on his performance he showed up and installed the pads. He said his non-responsiveness was due to major health problems in his family. He did not quote enough pads to do the job properly so he installed extra pads at his cost. In the end, we got what was promised plus somewhat more.

Installed American Eagle 60" basketball Hoop. Well built System. Dave and Jonathan did a great job. Dave installed the J Bolt initially and installed the Main system after 5 days. Good Job.

This was a great experience from start to finish. For the price the quality of the basketball goal is superior quality than you can get at local sporting goods stores at a highly competitive price. I also like the fact that it is made right here in Indiana. The installation was timely and I was well informed during the entire process. In my initial contact email I asked 4 questions about the hoop and services. Only one of these questions was answered. It took several more emails to get these initial questions answered. When I agreed to purchase the hoop and installation I asked that I be present when all services were done. They gave me less than 24 hours notice when installing the concrete in ground anchor system and the basketball goal. They came back and installed the goal and I was not home at the time. This isn't a real big deal as this was an outdoor project, however I would have preferred to be there.
There was also a 10 day delay from when I thought my hoop would be ready. They installed the anchor system and my expectation was that 4 to 5 days later they would come install the hoop. Well, after waiting over a week and not having a hoop I had to call and ask for a status update. They told me then that there was a delay in manufacturing. But I wished they would have communicated that to me, I would have waited to remove my old hoop.
This is a great product and great installation service: A+

"(removed member name), I am very sorry for the short notice you received in the scheduling of your anchor set. Scheduling this time of year with the unpredictable wet weather can be rather difficult. We try our best to keep to our initial schedule, however at times we have to make adjustments in effort to keep everyone happy and on schedule. In all fairness your installation was not a typical installation. During our initial conversation/email you inquired about the possibilities of removing your old hoop (which is generally not an issue) and at that time I asked for you to email/text a picture which I never received. Upon David's arrival to remove the old hoop and set the new anchor what he found was far from typical. The existing hoop was the portable sand filled base type that had been completely buried below the ground with no part of the base visible. Due to the unexpected we had to reschedule the anchor installation for another day as a concrete form was going to be required to contain the concrete in order to set the anchor at the proper elevation. Occasionally we do experience short product delays on the AE H54 basketball system due to it being a low volume seller. The American Eagle basketball system is manufactured right here in Indianapolis in a smaller yet very efficient sheet metal shop. Ocassionally we have to wait a couple of days for product to be produced if they have been hit with a heavy week of orders from their nationwide dealer network. I understand delays are hard to explain to children as I have (4) of my own (6,4,2 and 6 months) and for that reason I try and do my best to give customers as accurate timelines as possible, however there are some things such as product delays that are beyond my control. I emailed Jonathan at the beginning of June to inquire about putting in a basketball goal. He emailed me back the next day and said he'd get me an estimate ASAP. He sent me the estimate for a total cost for installation, goal and pads. We agreed on the price and he scheduled us for the following week. True to our scheduled time, he came and installed the cement base for the goal. He said it would take a week for the base to set and that he'd be back the following week to put in the goal. I originally asked for a goal with a 4' overhang but he recommended a slightly less expensive goal with a 3' overhang. He came the next week and installed the goal as promised. We are completely happy with the goal and couldn't be happier with the service we received. The goal is a much high quality construction that a similar "goalrilla" goal. It's made in Indiana, installed by an Indiana family owned business and came at a significant discount to it's "goalrilla" counterpart. I would and will recommend them to anyone and everyone I know considering the installation of a basketball goal.

The process from purchase (at Pate's Pools 96th and Michigan Rd.) to installation went very smoothly. Johnathan contacted me after the purchase to follow-up on having the utilities marked in the property and to let me know when he would be able to dig the hole for the goal's foundation. His father showed up as scheduled to dig the foundation, pour the concrete, and install the u-bolts to be mounted to the base of the pole. Johnathan returned about a week later to install the post, backboard and rim. This process took a little over an hour to complete.
We compared Johnathan's goal (American Eagle Basketball Systems) to a local Goalrilla seller and quickly determined that the best value and better looking goal was the American Eagle sold by Johnathan. American Eagle is made in Indianapolis, and from what was communicated to me through our purchase, was made to order based upon the size and pole that we selected. Goalrilla offers a decent system, but their higher quality systems will cost you around $100-200 more for the comparable one from American Eagle. Additionally, Johnathan provides a stronger gauge pole, U-channel bolts that allow you to move the goal to a different location if you choose and the breakaway rim is directly attached to the pole rather than the backboard.
I also think that the American Eagle goal has a cleaner look with the pole attaching to the backboard at the outer edges rather than directly behind the square. This feature presents more of a "shooter's backdrop" where the players see minimal distraction behind the hoop.
Johnathan is passionate about what he does and gives his customers the added benefit of being the owner and the installer which means he has a vested interest in providing the highest quality product. He upgraded the gauge of my pole at no extra cost because he wanted me to have no complaints over the sturdiness of the system and I have nothing but a positive experience so far.

They had a very friendly sales guy. It only took them a few hours to install it in the heat. They didn’t have all the pieces necessary and came out the next day to complete it. They were very easy to work with and didn’t try to hard-sell you. We love the new swingset! We will absolutely call them if we move as they offer to move it to a new location.

We shopped around for a playset for our children. We selected Johnathan Wells company - Backyard Adventures of Indiana. During the research process Johnathan was very open and helpful, this made us feel comfortable with choosing his company/product. The truly exceptional part of this was that the playset we ordered was in high demand and therefore "back ordered". Johnathan knew our situation and he came up with the solution to install a temporary set while we waited for the set we wanted. We had promised our girls a play set for some time and had to make good on that for this summer. The crew from Backyard Adventures of Indiana came out and installed the set right where we needed it and we were thrilled. When the backordered parts came in they came back out and basically upgraded the set to the one we had ordered. From a customer service stand point my wife and I could not have been more impressed with Johnathan and the entire compnay. I don't know many companies out there that would do what he did and we really appreciate it! The final product is very solid in terms of construction. We could not have made a better decision than to go with Backyard Adventures of Indiana. If you are looking for a great product provided by a great company you have found it!

Jonathon was terrific! Not only did he give us a good price, he was prompt, professional and quick! He originally estimated that it would take 5-6 hours to take down, transfer and re-assemble the playset...and it took about half the amount of time. It was a smooth and easy transition. We were able to saved HUNDREDS of dollars by purchasing a used playset and have it relocated instead of buying a new set. We priced out other companies and Jonathon was about $200 less. In addition to his great work, because the set we were buying was originally from Backyard Adventures, it had a lifetime warranty. So before moving the set, Jonathon went out to the home and checked out the set and ordered any parts that needed to be replaced. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish and my kids LOVE the play set!
