It ended up being more cost conscious to replace both systems, which we did. Very disappointed that our Rheem water heater only lasted 8 years.

He promptly came out to give me a quote. He is usually very busy and was working in the area, so he came over. He did it promptly because I needed it done before winter. My neighbor thought he did a wonderful job as well as a visitor to my home. The visitor got his number from me and now uses Jimmy.

He is very good. He hardly charges a thing. I have recommended him to a lot of people. He is a great guy, he has a local team, and he schedules his staff, and gets the work done quickly. I will have him do some dry wall work in my garage probably in the spring.

We wanted to repaint most of the interior of a 1910 house we had just purchased. On the advice of our realtor, we got a painting quote from Jimmy after a first quote came in high. The price Jimmy quoted ended up being comparable to the first quote, but he offered much more in terms of the amount of prep work he would do. Our house has a large amount of trim which account for much of the cost of the bid. We also liked that Jimmy had the skills to do things, like major plaster repairs, that are out of the range of most painters.
The one problem with Jimmy was that he we had to wait for him; he does all of his own work, and was booked solid for close to 2 months out. However, he worked to get us in as soon as possible, and we delayed our moving date by a couple of weeks to let him finish. Jimmy is very good at projecting his time, so he showed up when he promised. In the end, between he and his father Jack, they were in our house for maybe 20 man-days worth of labor. They worked all day, with only modest breaks.
Two things stand out for us. First, Jimmy and his Dad had very high attention to detail. The prep work was superb and the painting careful. Also, being far more than painters, they solved plaster and woodwork problems as they came, they hung a couple of lights we were replacing, etc. Second, Jimmy went the extra mile to get things done on time. Because we were getting a lot of work done on the house, we found out some things midstream that took extra time. Jimmy would throw in small things, and when there was something that would take a good chunk of time, he'd quote us a very reasonable price for the additional work. Mostly because of this new work, they were a bit behind their schedule, and we were moving in on Monday. Jimmy ended up working all day Saturday, not leaving until the work was done, around 10:30PM.

Jimmy is like having a brother who knows everything and everyone and he's willing to come and help whenever he can. Since my husband and I are relatively new to the area, having someone who knows who to call for what and what it will cost is a godsend. And when I do call him, as I did in October, he's available within my schedule, always on time (or he calls if he's running behind), and utterly professional. He'll tell me if he can do something or if he can recommend someone who is better suited to the job. If he recommends someone, he'll give me reasons he recommends him or her and a range of costs I can expect. In the four years I've known Jimmy, he's been right every time.
The work that Jimmy has done for us has been excellent. He's put in dog doors and worked with plumbers to fix a leak; he's recommended electricians and furnace repair guys and given me warranty information; he's dry walled and patched and caulked and done so much to keep our house in perfect condition that I don't even remember all he's done. His skills are first-rate, his attitude is superb, he's punctual, and his charges are most reasonable.
Without exception I would recommend Jimmy to anyone.
