I set an appointment for the following Thursday and from the time I set foot into the place I felt taken care of. I was asked if I wanted anything to drink, if they could take and hang up my coat if I needed anything. Then Elle came and I realized I was in capable hands. She really did her homework and had ideas for my hair.. I mean she actually did some research before I ever came in. We chose a gorgeous wine"esque" color for the ends and a deep, chocolaty color for the roots and the top gradient. She was a true chemist and came up with 4 concoctions of color that perfectly took to my hair. I was pampered, massaged, taken into a wash room that calmed the senses with cool lighting, amazing stone work on the walls and a deep soft background ambiance song reminiscent of the Asian countryside. Everything she used on my hair smelled heavenly and I came out of there with a permanent smile on my face and a feeling of such deep relaxation that I can not remember the last time I felt so relaxed and good. She consulted with me every step of the way, describing what she had in mind, then what she was doing and always following a pre-designed plan. Nothing was left to chance. At the beginning she even consulted with the salon owner as to the best steps and what he thought of the colors she chose. The entire process was amazing and any sort of hesitancy I had about the costs of this service dissipated by the time It was all over with. I realized that I needed this in my life and I would be coming back here to get pampered and looked after again in the near future.
If all salon experiences were like this there would be no need for review sites because they would all be 5 star bombshells, just like Elle, just like G Michael salon. The standard of quality is amazing here, the bar is set pretty darned high. I highly recommend not only this salon to anyone and everyone but I would especially recommend Elle for her friendly, bubbly company, her obvious skills at everything hair related and her expert chemistry ability. What an amazing outcome and a stellar, couldn't-be-better experience. 10 STARS! Thank you guys!!!
I explained the situation to him....he informed he already new what was going on. He told me that none of the beauticians would ever do that to someone, would not accept responsibility for the situation at all. He informed me that they couldn't see me until the following week. I told him that was unacceptabe and that I wanted something done today.
Bottom line no refund not even partial (they don't do that, not there policy), no apologize, I had to ask to come in and get conditioner to do it myself, and wouldn't see me for 4 days after the fact. I would not feel comfortable sending anyone to them.
On my appointment day, I arrived a little early, but I was seen very promptly. Lauren was so nice, and she is lovely too which instantly made me feel a bit more comfortable in a new setting. I am rather shy, and she spent a lot of time not only asking me about my hair but she had read the notes that I put in my appointment request and addressed my concerns without me having to bring them up first. I thought that was great. She took time to match what she thought my base color would be, and showed me the colors to get my approval. She didn't use heat to activate the color, which I like. The washing stations are in a private area in what I have to say is a drop-dead gorgeous room with beautiful tile work. The chairs are super comfortable, probably the most comfortable that I have ever been in. My hair color turned out beautifully.
Lauren did explain that they only do mini-keratin treatments at their salon, because they have not found a regular one that does not have strong formaldehyde. That was the only disappointment I have with them. Their website indicates they offer a full keratin treatment. I haven't had luck with milder keratin treatments in the past, so I am not sure what I am going to do. I likely will try the mini but if it doesn't work, I will have to find another salon to do that treatment. I would stay with Lauren though, for everything else, I think. I just would rather not have to go someplace else.
Went very well until i realized that their policy states that if you change your appointment within 24 hours the complete amount for the service will be charged to your card. I found about this policy when i changed my appointment once (@ 22 hours before the appointment). The next time they did charge for the entire amount $250 dollars. i can understand a policy that charges a portion of the services but not the entire amount.
I did explain to the lady on the phone that i needed more flexibility. The stylist no longer works on Saturday's and during the week with a job that requires 80+ hours is almost impossible to stick to an appointment without any changes. If there is an emergency like this last Friday then the customer looses.
i am frustrated by the lack of customer service. I have worked with thousands of services in Indianapolis and this is the first time i see a policy that doesn't focus on the customer. It appears it is more important to protect their own expenses vs keeping a customer. They and quot;savedand quot; $250 but have lost $2,200 in a year because i will never go back there and will not recommend it either.
very relaxing. I so look forward to 'my' time with Greg. All stylists
are trained by Greg on color and cut, so if your stylist is booked
another one can assist you for your specific date. Deane is also a
stylist I have worked with. Her work is fabulous as well.
Their hours cater to the busy world we live in . . . .
You leave your stress at the door and walk in for your appointment--they make it all about YOU!
