After 19 years with my furnace & AC I figured it was time to upgrade. The furnace was an 80% efficiency (probably bare minimum at the time) and the AC was a 4-ton 10 SEER unit. Both were still ‘working’ but I knew it was probably a matter of time before I ran into issues, and also knew coolant for the AC would no longer be available in a year(?) or two (except for $$$$). So upgrading to MUCH more efficient units made sense. I did a LOT of research on both manufacturers and installers (often directly tied unfortunately). The Bryant system I had held up quite well (obviously) but I read a lot of information online attesting to the quality and ‘bang for the buck’ of Goodman units. I ended up getting HVAC quotes from 5 different companies (sticking to Bryant [or equivalent United companies] and Goodman providers). Quotes were ALL over the place but a few were just ridiculous (“Carmel” tax perhaps!?). Some of the quoters were straight-up salesman - who knew ‘enough’ to get by but clearly weren’t *that* knowledgable. They had a price book with set prices and even when they later were able to offer a 10% discount due to ‘dealer rebates’ they were still at least 30% more. Christopher at Dutch was one of the few who clearly knew what he was talking about. He was also one of only three people that seemed to take the quote seriously. Since this was a complete system replacement and [significant] upgrade, the fact that he was the only one doing *real* measurements of ductwork, etc. was one of many pluses in my mind. Multiple times, it was clear he wasn’t trying to simply up-sell, but to provide the right system for the job. He concurred with my findings as well, that the ‘super high-efficiency’ systems just weren’t worth it. I already had some ideas of what I wanted and Christopher certainly would’ve worked around whatever I wanted but it seemed like we had a common understanding. I upgraded to a 96% efficient furnace (significant change from my 80%) and to a 16 SEER AC (also significant from my 10 SEER). The furnace has already been running quite a bit but now that it’s an intelligent 2-stage system w/ variable speed blower I’ve already noticed a significant improvement in house comfort combined with my existing Ecobee thermostat (which I LOVE). 

I probably should have written up more details as it all proceeded but there were multiple cases where Christopher earned my trust and at this point I’m sure I’ll be a longstanding customer of Dutch.

It went very well. Christopher is very pleasant to deal with and very knowledgeable. He doesn't try to up-sell constantly like many of the larger companies. His attitude is " If its not broke we don't fix it". I also signed up on a service contract with Dutch for spring and fall services. My furnace filters are very large and expensive. Christopher told me where to buy them and said it would save me money if I got the filters myself. I have paid as much as $60 for these filters in the past from other heating and cooling companies and with Christopher's guidance I paid $38 for the filter. This is just an example of his commitment to being as helpful as he can be. I would highly recommend Dutch Heating and Cooling.

Very Professional. Answered all questions. Went above and beyond for the installation, but stayed with the estimated price. Made sure everything was working correctly before he left.

We discovered a problem with our furnace Saturday evening. We called Dutch Heating and Cooling, and Christopher arrived within a half hour of our phone call. Christopher was efficient and very pleasant. He identified the problem; picked up a motor; repaired the furnace; and, we had heat! On a cold Saturday evening, we were amazed that we could reach someone to come so quickly and have a welcome resolution. I would strongly recommend Christopher and Dutch Heating and Cooling.

Christopher spent a lot of time going over our system and figuring out the problems. He'll talk over your head a bit with the physics and engineering of how systems work or are suppose to work but really seems to know his stuff. He was concerned he had not quite got the fix right this past week and called to come back on Saturday to make sure all was functioning as it should. All part of the maintenance package and no extra charges. I've had a lot of houses over the past 15 years being in the rental market and delt with many different sub-contractors. First impression this year with this company is top notch.

Christopher and his assistant came to do the installation on day that was conducive to both of us and was good about keeping me up to date on progress of installation. He also had to put up with 5 noisy puppies who were in kennels nearby. He was also within the time estimate he gave me to install the unit, so we were all ready for the hot weather in no time. Turns out the new humidifier unit took the same filters as the ones I already had on hand. All in all it was a pleasurable experience, knowing that Christopher takes pride in his work and has the same brand of AC at his own home. I feel confident that I'm getting a good product at a decent price.

Overall i am happy with the mans service he was upfront and honest and put covers on his boots and didnt make any mess. My wife was happy as well

Soon after Christopher started working, he found a mess of rigging and worn out parts on the 17 year old furnace. I bought the property this past April and I had no idea that the furnace was in this shape. Christopher spotted major fire hazards ranging from the settings on the furnace, to the rigging that was done by some mediocre repairman or past owner, down to the closet door covering the furnace which was not allowing proper airflow.
It was quickly decided that a new furnace needed to be installed and was done within two days. I really thank Christopher and Dutch Heating and Cooling for being such great servicemen. It was only a matter of time before a fire occurred.

Our experience with Dutch Heating and Air Conditioning was excellent. They showed up on time, cleaned up behind themselves, always did what they promised. We are very satisfied.

The service was under warranty and so the cost wasn't as much as we anticipated it to be. We think the labor was between $200 and $300 may be. They just went above and beyond to make sure that we got the right product. The original installer put in the air conditioning unit and the furnace at the same time for us, and the air conditioner got registered but the furnace didn't. They were able to talk to the company and they went back, and got it honored and registered even though it had been a couple of years. So they took care of those kinds of things and they were just very professional.

Christopher was professional and knowledgeable. I initially requested an estimate which was very detailed. He thoroughly looked over the equipment and measured. Later, I called to set up the service date. He was friendly and informative. On installation day, Christopher and another employee worked through the day to install the new equipment. He walked me through the thermostat configuration and let me know what things I needed to be looking for to identify any problems. There was a distinct popping in the existing ductwork. After he obtained the necessary supplies, another appointment was made to correct this issue. Overall good experience. I would recommend Dutch to friends and family.

My heatpump went out. Chris came out that morning to look at it. After a thourough inspection of my unit inside and out it was determined I needed a new compressor. Chris was awesome, you won't meet a nicer guy. He worked around my schedule to get the job done. I actually called other HVAC companies and gave them a detailed list of the parts being replaced. The closest price I could find was $800 more than Dutch heating and cooling. Chris did awesome work and went above and beyond my expectations making sure my unit was efficient as possible. If you want a quality job don't hesitate to call Dutch Heating and Cooling, and request Chris. I will recommend their service to everyone I know. In fact, I referred my neighbor to them the day after my unit was fixed!

Christopher was so professional! He covered his shoes when he walked in. He gave my husband a retired military and retired fireman discount. Didn't charge us extra for coming out on a Sunday. He knew exactly what was wrong, and he was compassionate and caring, along with talented in his knowledge of furnaces.

The experience in working with Christopher at Dutch Heating and Cooling went great. Christopher is a really nice guy that is very cool to talk to. From day one when I was getting estimates he was there to inform me and help me through the process. To many of the other companies I found here on Angie's List that came for estimates were immediately asking me when I wanted to schedule it. They almost seemed to get ahead of the information and focus on the sale. One guy from another company even asked me "So do you want to schedule this for tomorrow?" The one thing I also like about Dutch Heating and Cooling is the fact that Christopher was the same one that did the estimate and gave me the information, he was the same person that installed the unit, and he is the same one that will maintain it. Throughout the installation day Christopher explained to me what he was doing and really educated me on the process and everything which was very interesting and helpful. I like the fact that anything I ever need I just call him instead of talk to a bunch of different people. So far I am happy with the decision I made and would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a quality company that will be there for you every time. There is no doubt this is MY heating and a/c company. They have earned my loyal business and the grades I have given them.

He was able to get me a new unit for half the price of another quote I received. He is an Iraqi vet, he has worked with the police dept before as well, and he is very good. He is a wonderful guy to meet and he has a wonderful personality. He did a grand job and I would highly recommend him. He came out in one day and removed the old air conditioner, hauled it away and came back to install the other that day. He worked until almost 9 pm to get the job finished.
