The call was routed to D & J by the Warranty provider. My cost was to be 100.00 as a upfront fee before work was to begin. Contractor replaced the water heater and commented during the procedure that there could be extra ou-of-pocket cost borne by me because of modifications. Surprise. When work was complted I was presented a bill for 100.00 as required by the warranty, plus 100.00 for unspecified modifications, and 50.00 for disposal of the old water heater. As I and my family weree conductiing a garage sale, we saww the work performed in the garage. There were no new parts required and no cutting, bending, soldering or any other modifications required. Plumber stated that I should read warranty. It supposedly states any modifications are at the cost to owner. This is a blatant lie. This company simply scammed an additional $150.00 for work performed. Beware of this outfit. I notified Warranty issuer of the scam. Probably will also go to whatever beurocracy in Indiana handles this type of complaint.
