Kathy walked me through the selection process, explaining the pros and cons of various products and helping to make sure the selections I made were right for my home and lifestyle. The quote I was given was for the total job and there were no hidden costs. When I asked if I could reduce the cost by doing a little sweat equity, she gave me ideas of what I might do, and what areas were better left to the professionals. Installation went great. I was impressed with the amount of prep work that was done. Laying the tile out and looking at it from many different angles to make sure that it looked correct whether we were walking in the front door or through the garage. The attention to detail was phenomenal. Ron did a great job cleaning up after himself every night, so I barely knew he was there. Newly installed tile couldn't be walked on overnight, so he laid it in such a way that I could still use the kitchen in the evenings. He was careful to mark the tiles to not walk on. It was very evident that Ron took great pride in the work he did. He even tried to tailor his workset to what was going on in the house. My daughter was home sick one day, so he tried to do "quiet work" while she was sleeping so he wouldn't disturb her. I've had many positive comments on the flooring since it was installed, not just from friends and family, but from other service providers, too. Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend Carpets by J Michaels to anyone who wants a quality job done.
