Andy does a great job at reasonable price. So why 2 stars? He rarely gets back to you on phone calls and emails. It typically takes at least 10 correspondences to get one reply. In my opinion if he would hire someone to take calls and do schedules he would have a 4 to 5 star company.

Fence put up in June 2022. Advised Andy of gapping - I was promised several times he would come to repair my fence and he has never called to advise he would not be able to make it out nor has he come out to repair the fence.

Andy & I spent a lot of time discussing issues with the previous fence... rotting posts, wind, section removable, etc. Andy said he could install a movable section of the fence for easy removal, space boards slightly closer for more privacy, install extra (3rd) horizontal board, etc. He then wrote up a quote but did NOT mention any of the above issues. When it came to installing, Shane and Antonio were doing a very good job and very polite. However, when it came to installing the boards they were not closer...Shane contacted Andy who came to discuss. Short of calling me an out and out liar, he said we never discussed any of those issues. He said he could install the boards closer but would charge more. I said I was not paying more. His answer was to put some (very few) boards closer together. In a text he said 2 3/4" to 3". That was his way of trying to satisfy me. I went out and measured the board spacing... they vary from 2 3/4'- to 4". No consistency what so ever. I do NOT blame Shane... he did what Andy instructed him to do. Add the fact they left a big slab of concrete from old post which should have been removed. After a week, it has not been removed (Andy did say he would remove today though). Though the fence doesn't look bad the spacing is not consistent. Also, had I not watched out, the section of the fence that should have been removable would not have happened. Thanks to Shane though, he did make the adjustment even though Andy did not instruct him to do so. My advice: IF YOU USE THEM... GET EVERY DETAIL IN WRITING AND WATCH WAS IT IS INSTALLED!!!!

I had my 2nd fence with Awards installed at the end of last summer. As others have noted Andy is very pleasant when quoting. Unfortunately, he is the only contact. I had to continually call and text him to find out the schedule. It took the entire summer. I had him quote a deck this spring, and he was quick to quote. (Price was higher than others – didn’t go with Awards) He noticed my fence gate didn’t latch correctly and said he would drop by and fix it later that week. Never did. I’ve left messages, sent text etc. over the summer. Once he did answer his phone: “You’re on the schedule.” It’s the end of Sept, and I had to hire a handyman to fix it. The job they did is not that impressive to recommend Awards given the lack of customer service. He needs to hire office help.

during the winter someone had slid off the road and taken out several panels of our fence. andy came out and gave us an estimate to have it repaired and one to have it replaced. we ended up having it replaced. they showed up when they said they would and the fence looks great! we would recommend and hire andy again.

Andy was very prompt in returning phone calls and texts prior to the work being completed. He provided us a reasonable quote and stated the fence would be under warranty. There was an error in what we requested, and it was quickly fixed immediately following notification. HOWEVER, 3 months following the installation of the fence, the the gate is warped and difficult to shut, and several boards are severely cracked or warped. I have attempted to reach Andy on numerous occasions and he will not return an email, a text, or phone call. If I were to make the decision all over again, I would have never chosen this guy.

Everything went well. There were some delays in getting started based on weather and other issues.

I would use them in the future.

With the weather this summer, the project was delayed by several weeks.  Once they started, the job went quickly.  The installer put up the posts on a Friday and installed the rest of the fence on the following Wednesday.  After reviewing the installation, I noticed that the fence was very close to the ground, so they came out the next day and cut the bottoms of the boards to be above the grass height.  Overall they did a great job.  My only complaint is that it was sometimes hard to get a hold of them to see how far out they were in getting the job started.

The repair was fine.  The company just promised a completion date and could not get it done in the promised time frame.  It took several follow ups and several new target dates before it was finally completed.

They came on time, the work was good, seemed reasonable, and they have a good work record. They gave excellent advice.

So friendly! Gave a a small credit for having a rescue dog. And after the fence was finished, one of the gates had about a 4" gap at the bottom. Andy called the afternoon everything was done to check and see if I was happy, and I mentioned the gate, he came back out the next morning and fixed it right up! Fantastic company! Can't say enough about how happy I am!

Andy and team were excellent. They installed my fence in a short period and cleaned up after themselves. Andy kept in constant contact with me and even sent me pictures of the progress. I had compared several contractors and Awards Fence had the best price for the same material and construction build.

The owner was responsive and he has a fair price.  You can trust him and he will do it right.  He was prompt and did what he said he would do.

The crews were professional and did good work. We are happy with the final product.

They were recommended to me by people here in Noblesville. The gentleman that gave the estimate was very good. He worked with us because we had a few little quirks in our backyard. He let us know what we could and couldn't do. He was responsive to get the fence as soon as possible because we have to get a fencing permit from the city. The man that came to actually install the fence completed the whole thing in one day. They were professional and did a beautiful job on the fence. Everything was lined up perfectly. They did a very nice job.

The fence installer talked with me throughout the project when there was a possible concern-ie gas pipe, landscaping, etc. All went well throughout the few days it took to do the project. The existing fence was also removed by Awards and we were impressed with the clean up. The installer was friendly and professional and took pride in his work.

They had originally installed the fence and so we used them again. They were professional but it took them a while to get to me.

Our first impression with Andy on the phone, and Jan in person were excellent. I had also briefly met Jason, who does much of the custom deck work prior to calling for an appointment. Jason struck me as a real craftsman, which is why I called to begin with.
We started communicating in March or April, at which point we were told that Award's schedule was backed up, and that we would not be able to begin work for six weeks. Once we made a decision, it took closer to 12 weeks for the projects to get started. We had to file our own permits, which was a double edged sword and a requires some self-education. When we had some permit difficulty, Andy was able to help us with an easement issue.
Scheduling frustration was handled very professionally with some agreed concessions.
We also had a fairly major mis-communication on the height of our fence. It was built to 6', while our verbal agreement, permit, and HOA paperwork read 5'. Again, Andy was extremely empathetic and fair, and we ended up sticking with the 6' fence.
I run a business, and understand that things don't always run as smoothly as we want them too. I do hope that Awards works on their internal communication and scheduling systems, but again the issues that we had were fairly addressed.
Finally, the real reason you hire someone to build a fence and deck...is the quality of the work. We are quite pleased in the attention to detail and quality of the structures. Once they got started, the work went fast! Jason is one heck of a worker, and even came on a weekend to get caught up. Both the deck and the fence are firmly planted in concrete with ample posts. I also noticed Jason fixing things that I know others would have left. We have had numerous compliments, and truly enjoy the space.
If I had it to do again, I'd definitely choose Awards. I would be a bit more diligent on my end as to making sure the written paperwork matched up with our conversations, and would confirm plans with the builder prior to the work being done.
Oh, and after the work was done, we noticed a few odds and ends here and there, like split boards, boards that needed additional nails, and a couple of and quot;over-shotand quot; nails. They came back and fixed them all without issue. Again, a real class-act.

We selected them based on the quality of our neighbors fence (6 years old). The installation will great, one guy showed up and got it done in two days. Some boards have split during the first year, but this is expected and covered by warranty. We are currently waiting for them to come replace those boards.

I contacted the company and they set a date to come to look over the project and provided me with the estimated cost for complete removal of old fence and installation of new fence. The company offered various styles from which I could choose.







The company contacted the utility companies and advised me that I would need to obtain a permit from the city to replace the fence. I was called to be advised that the utility company would be out to mark the lines, which was done as scheduled and they contacted me to me know they were coming out to mark the fence location. They arrived as scheduled. When all was set they contacted me to set the removal and installation dates for the fence. Two men arrived to as scheduled to remove the old wooden fence and post. They left my property and my neighbors in excellent condition and you only knew they had been there to work because the old fence was removed and gone. The crew arrived as scheduled to set the post and returned after the post were set and installed the new cedar wood fence. The company representative came out the following day to check the new fence and to ask if I had any concerns.







This company was very easy to work with and took care to work around an old Lilac bush I had near the fence. Everyone I meet at this company was professional and very knowledgeable and were able to answer any of the questions I had. They left my property as well as my neighbors in excellent condition with the tear out and new install.







I would definitely use this company again and will contact them if the fence should at any time need repair.

Awards rep came out and presnted our options. Gave us a special on the 2nd gate. Scheduled the installation and had it up in one day. They were very good on working with us on HOA issues and we felt the price was competitive on other companies we searched. I'm not sure what the exact price was as this was 5 years ago. The fence is still in very good shape.

It went fine, slow going at first due to weather, but once they got moving the instulation went quickly. They were one of the most respectful crews when it came to working around our flowers and our neighbors flowers. This crew was also very knowledgeable in their field.
