Foundation Repair
Randy and his excellent team did a remarkable job replacing three foundation/basement walls of my house. They also built a 12ft x 20ft concrete porch and replaced two concrete walkways. Randy took care of all the governmental permits to get this major project done. It didn't matter if it was a Sunday or holiday, if the weather was dry the crew was working. Randy was easy to communicate with. I highly recommend Arvin Masonry!

Randy Arvin was excellent! Randy is easy to communicate with and responsive to questions regarding the project. His crew did a great job and were open to suggestions when completing the job. Since they did a great job on our walkway, we hired them back to install two handrails.

Randy from Arvin came out shortly after making contact with me thru Angi.com and got me an estimate in a timely manner. I got several more quotes after I saw him, but he had the best price and sounded the most knowledgeable. Other companies tried to talk me into parging concrete over the old brick, but Randy was the only one who said we could save the brick and make it last another 40 years. After waiting several weeks to get back with him, Randy came over the same day I said I wanted to get started on the project to refresh on what we needed to do. His guys wanted to get started that day, and they did. Within a couple of days that had ground out all the old mortor, tuckpointed, and rebuild 1 section of the porch wall that had been cemented over previously (and the brick was falling apart) as well as a couple corner pillars that had been damaged by water. After they were done, they cleaned all the brick. When cleaning, some of the old mortar that hadn't been touched came out, but the crew from Arvin's came back out and fixed those sections up, too. Overall, great to deal with, great quality, and I would DEFINATELY recomment.

I contacted Randy and he made an appointment to review and discuss my moisture issues around the foundation in a corner of my garage. He listened to my observations & gave me some recommendations to help solve the issue. The workers arrived on the agreed day. They replaced some bricks in my front porch wall, power washed it & the porch concrete slab. They sealed the bricks along with the shoulder of my brick chimney. The foundation was exposed on the outside and materials placed over it and sealed to help prevent further seepage. Dirt was placed around part of another section of the garage outside to help channel water away from the foundation. I was very happy with Randy and his crew. Everything was completed and cleaned up before they left. I would definitely use them again.

I contacted him through email on AL and went back and forth for about two weeks to get an estimate. Finally came by and we met and talked about task. I have had other estimates, so I knew approx ball park of cost. His estimate came back literally thousands of dollars over. I live in Carmel don't assume I have a money tree in my backyard just because of that. Randy was very nice on phone and in person and prompt to come over and flexible with his time for appt. provided a picture of wall below.

"We build scaffolding as opposed to working off ladders. Its safer and we can do a more thorough job. Windows, downspouts,flashing and roofing most be taped and covered. The spray will ruin windows. Our masonry sealer costs 70. per gal. The corvaled brick on chimney may need tuckpointing. I hope the job went well and thanks for your review. Randy"

Randy and his crew did exceptional work. Randy was very detailed with how he was going to fix it and did exactly that. He also gave me some ideas for another area that needs attention. I would suggest that if you want to use Randy be proactive and take the lead. He requested I follow up with him as he was going to be out of town and I did and he got the job done for me!
