Yard drain failed, wouldn’t come back out after I paid him! I had to get a qualified person to finish job, lost all the money I paid him and out more to have system correctly done!

Our septic tank had went bad and we had another person put one in.  That one cracked, and we were referred to Spiker from a friend of ours.  He came out and said he recommended a tank and a pump station be put in with new fingers.  He stated he would take care of leveling the ground out (we could re-seed) and making everything work.
He finally got there to do the work and installed the tanks.  It did rain some so he could not level the ground out because it was "too wet".  He came about 2 months later (after we had paid him) and tried to level it out but said it was still too wet.  (My  neighbor came the same day and leveled it out without a problem).  He had run the electricfor the pump station into the houset, but has it hooked to an extension cord, left  laying in the basement. He said he would have ann electrician come and finish it.  When we called him back a couple weeks later, he started to say he wasnt responsible to hook it up, then eventually brought someone out (about a year later) to show him what to do.  It still has not been fixed.
Lesson learned - do not pay someone before the job is COMPLETE!
We had numerous (probably 50) calls to him to get things done and it still is not done.  He said he was busy with other jobs (I guess they didnt pay him yet!).  We will finish fixing it ourselves.
I will never recommend him for any work to anyone.

It was a great experience. The workmanship was excellent and they were quick and thorough. After framing up for the pouring of the concrete, I was asked if everything looked like I wanted or if there were any changes that I would like to make. They were very conscious about the fact that it was my home and they wanted me to be happy with the final result. I am very happy.
