While the job moved slower than desired, the work was high quality and Ron was great to deal with during the job.

Began talking with contractor in February.  Signed contract in April.  Work began in mid-June.  Originally estimated the work would take two weeks, but the job took about 6 weeks.  There were problems with the suppliers taking incorrect measurements and therefore some of the materials had to be re-ordered (Lee Supply in New Albany and P&C in New Albany).  These suppliers came in an did their own measurements so it was not the contractor's fault. One of the marble pieces for the shower stall was cracked when it arrived so that delayed the job another week.  Our house has low voltage wiring and the lights are on relays.  The electrician we had on another remodel job told us there was nothing we could do about it, but the electrician that Mattingly brought in was wonderful, installed regular 110 wiring and now we can have dimmers on those lights.  The workers were meticulous about cleaning up after themselves and were polite and professional.  The only problem I had was that the contract was not very specific when written.  The cost of the shower stall doors, lighting, bathroom exhaust fans, medicine cabinets etc were not specified nor an allowance specified in the agreement and I bought these things out of pocket during construction. The cost of the electrican and plumber were not included in the "total", which I overlooked since I did not add up the various line items though they were shown as an "allowance.".  As a result, the cost was +$4000.00 more than I thought it would be.  Even still, I believe I got good quality for my money.  I have an older home with plaster walls and a previous remodeler did not do a good job of matching installed drywall to the plaster walls.  This contractor did an excellent job and would not settle for anything less than perfect.

He is very accomodating. He worked well with us. He did a great job. You can call him anytime, and he always gets back to you. If you are not satisfied with anything, he will work to redo it right away.
