.First, my brother (visiting from out of town) suggested 30 minutes before Juan's team was scheduled to arrive that I should have contracted with him to have extra rocks placed around my dry well which is used for drainage from the back yard and the house.  During heavy rains, the water flow from the pop-up in the middle of  the dry well was pushing all the mulch surrounding it into big piles.  I thought removing the plastic would resolve the issue but my brother said I should not mulch that area as the water would still move the mulch.  I could not believe he thought I should ask for this at the last moment but he pointed out I would not be happy if it was not done right.  My brother talked to Juan and he was great about the last-minute change. They decided to do a "dry creek" look in that area.  Juan was terrific!!!  He added a very small amount of money to our original estimate for the materials and it came out beautiful.  Juan's team took so much care to make the rocks look good and put larger rocks along the border of the dry creek, just like you would find in nature.  They also did a beautiful larger rock border around the stones next to my neighbor's house.  Everyone that sees the dry creek  thinks it was designed as the primary feature of the side yard instead of a last minute fix to my mulch problem.  All of the hardscaping looks fantastic including the mail person's short-cut path across the front and side yards. I was very happy with all the materials used and the workmanship.  I will definitely have Juan back again for new projects.. He and his team were creative, professional, and hard-working finishing a lot of work in less than a full day.  We did have a little problem communicating with each other at the outset of our discussions but working with Juan's team was well-worth any communication issues we had to work through in the beginning.

It went very well.  They arrived early in the morning and were finished around 3pm. They did a really good job and I was pleased with outcome.  I would use this company again.

All work was done exactly as requested with a beautiful result. Very professional job. Our landscaping has never looked so nice. I will definitely be calling on them again for any landscaping needs.

Came out right away and gave us a bid for both projects. Juan and his wife are very hard workers and do excellent work. They are very reliable, neat, prompt and courteous. Most definitely would hire them again!!!

I called Juan to get an estimate and sent a picture of the river rock I was wanting. He returned my call promptly and gave me an estimate within 1 week. He gave me an estimated date of 2 weeks for work to begin. He called a prior a day or two prior to the 2 weeks to let me know he was running 1 week behind due to extreme rain that week (which was accurate). He said he would be out the following Friday and was. He completed the huge job in one day and did an amazing job. He did everything he promised in an acceptable time frame. He did a great job, did great work and nice clean up as well. Would highly recommend him to anyone and will definitely use him again in the future.

Contacted these guys based on other reviews foind here, and we were not disappointed. This was our first experience with an Angie's List referal, and this single experience made the cost of membership worthwhile. The crew showed up exactly when promised and went right to work. I don't recall noticing they even took any breaks the whole time. Moreover, they were fast. What would've taken me at least a full weekend, they knocked out in just a few hours (no more than 4), and, to my surprise, they actually covered a larger area than we asked them to do. This was all last summer (2012), and interestingly (and doubtful coincidentally) we have not had near the volume of weeds in our beds that we typically get. I fully intend to have them back out again sometime this summer as well.

I called Juan Vacillio Landscapes and asked for an estimate. Juan and his wife came out within a couple of days. I told them what I wanted to accomplish, they took some time to figure what it would cost, then gave me a date to do the work.

They actually came a couple of days before they were scheduled--which was great, since rain was being predicted for the date they'd originally set. They worked their magic so by the time I came home, my house looked like a different home.

They're miracle workers!

Mr. Vacillio came to bid the job within one day of me calling. He then came back on the day he said he would to begin the job. The job was finished, as promised, the next day.

The job went well. I've used them before and I would recommend them. I plan to use them again.

He and his wife are a team, but he does most of the work. I spent about $200 on the project. He is very good. I would use him again in the future.
