Real Estate Auctions
We were in Europe the week of the auction and had some friends at the sale to observe. Our items included five music boxes, lawn mower, telescope. Rockwell lithographs, carnival glassware, heije (sic) glassware, 66 pcs china, furniture(including two lazy boy chairs),, numerous tools, tool chest, antique crocks, patio furniture, tree trimmers and many other household and garage items. In the final tally, he charged $284.88 for auctioneer services, $479.47 for advertising, $220.88 for labor, and $90.87 for truck rental. He said our property sold for $2,374.00; his fees totaled $1,076.00 leaving us with $1,298.00.
