I asked them to post-pone the project due to too much rain, which they did. I did not want to have such a soggy surface for my neighbor that their equipment tore up his driveway or left a bigger mess due to ground saturation. They did without a complaint and understood. The next weekend they pulled in with all their equiment and got to work. Four men to do the project, which I thought was going to take the full weekend. They worked till 9:30 pm that night and completed the entire project in one day. And best of all, the neighbor had minimal disturbance to his property. They even brought additional boring drill sections to reach all they way across my neighbor which saved an additional drill site on his property to reach the proposed meter site. Fantastic job and amazing work ethic. These guys are hard workers and did a great job. Todd Burns who is the President of Sub-Surface of Indiana, came out to spec out the job for me and was very personable and we discussed the project options and I learned what constraints I would have with each option. Todd Burns handed the bidding portion over to Todd Larson, his project manager. Todd Larson is great to work with during planning and performing of the project.
Description of Work: My home has been on a well for 25 year and had supplied all the water my wife and I needed, but could not sustain a family of 5+, which our house was built to hold. In anticipation of selling our home, I knew we would lose potential buyers when they learned of our slow recovery well. Access to City water was over 1800 feet away, across three property owners. Mostly across one of the three neighbors, and I did not want to make an enemy when I had to tear up his perfect yard to reach city water. I heard of Sub-Surface of Indiana from a neighbor that had worked along side them on one of his projects. He recommended them. I asked them to quote my project and they came in at the lowest of all four bids. They were to bore for a two inch water line from where the meter would be placed, all the way to my home and drill into my basement. They also would pull a one inch water line for the neighbor I was crossing to get to water. He wanted to piggy-back on my boring project as a just-in-case he needed city water in the future.
