PRIDE MARK CONSTRUCTION GROUP  Owner Thomas Gibson (NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH PRIDE MARK CONTSRUCTION) Was hired on June 3rd 2013 to tear off our original 2 layers of shingles, replace with new roof paper, shingles, drip edge, metal edging,2 sky lights and apply snow and ice shield around entire house. Mr Gibson told myself and my husband he had been in the construction business for 20+years. He also said he had 30 some trucks across the state of Indiana and had a crew that had been with him for years and that he and his crew have already roofed 130 some roofs just this year. .
We were given $8,100.00 in two checks by our insurance company. Mr. Gibson of PRIDE MARK CONSTRUCTION GROUP requested all funds up front?! We had never been asked that by any contractor before! But because he was recommended by a co-worker of my husbands, my husband felt he could trust him! I at least talked him into just giving him one check instead. He gave him the 5,000.00 check up front and we were told he would be out that week to put on our roof. He did not show up till 3 weeks later and that was after my husband had contacted him  a couple of times, but he always had an excuse as to why he could not get our roof on. After basically having to threaten him with the fact he had 5,000.00 of our money and yet almost a month later we have no supplies in our drive and no new roof.
June 21st while we were on vacation our roof was put on, again Thomas Gibson demanded the other check as soon as roof was done even though we would not be home from vacation till following day. My husband had our son give him final check he now had all $8,100. Before we returned had home, the day after he but roof on, my son sent us a text showing us damage done to the inside of our bathroom ceiling from skylight not being replaced properly and torrential rain the night before. We called Mr. Gibson immediately and by the time we got home two people were at our house in the storm to repair sky light but not fix damages incurred by there negligence. We thought these people were his regular crew and at this time we immediately noticed the damage to our stove pipe, the metal flashing dented, siding pulled away from house and holes in our siding, they took pictures of new damage including bathroom ceiling and said they would be back to fix at a later date! WHAT? Come to find out our siding had been pulled off in spots and holes put in our siding because Mr. Gibson was also trying to get another draw from our Insurance Co. for siding.
A week later Mr Gibson comes to our home to inspect damage himself, The damage to our stove pipe we had just but new one up, also the roofers had pulled out siding from house put holes in my siding ,did not replace drip edge so I have none on my house, he did not apply shingles around our stove pipe and instead of replacing metal edging he put the old damaged edging back on our house. He was paid for and it was printed on our insurance order for us to have those things all new. Now my house looks worse than it did after the original storm damage, he was hired to fix and repair instead they have caused an extreme amount of damage to our home inside and out.
A week after that, the two people that had come out to fix skylight back on June 22 showed up at our home unexpectedly, come to find out they are not his regular crew they are sub contractors and even though Mr Gibson received a total of $10,700.00 from our insurance company he had not paid his sub contractors and they are informing us they are filing a lien on our property and that when they arrived Mr. Gibson was not on the job nor did he have the proper sky light flashing kits nor the ice and snow shield nor did he have the new metal flashing nor enough drip edge! When she called to tell him they did not have all supplies they needed they were told to go ahead and roof house just take a picture of one side for the insurance company they will never know its not around the entire home?! Mr Gibson was contacted immediately and told of the situation. He informed us the sub contractors were lying they had been paid. The contractors had been told by Thomas Gibson that are insurance company had not paid him that's why they had not been paid, and if are insurance company did not pay him he was going to have to slap a lien on us also. Again Thomas Gibson Received $8,100.00 in checks handed to him by my husband and son and another 3,500 draw from our Ins. co. for a total of $11,600. We still gave Mr. Gibson the benefit of doubt considering he had been refered by someone we knew. He insisted he would be down to fix damages caused by his crew (Sub Contractors we did not know about) and to put on drip edge, and metal edging he had already been paid to do.
Instead of paying his sub contractors and fixing our home properly, he told our insurance company we are irate customers that can not be satisfied and he has washed his hands of us. He now refuses to answer calls from our Ins. Co., his sub contractors and my husband. We now have a lien filed against us on our property  at our local court house in the amount of $3,500.00 The amount owed to Thomas Gibsons Sub Contractors not long time crew.
We have owned two homes and had total of three roofs put on we have never had any problems in past with contractors they always did a great job and we are not big complainers we just want the job done properly that Mr. Gibson was paid to do. We never got irrate with him nor his Sub Contractors.
Thomas (Tommy) Gibson has also worked under the name CAT Construction Group, He seems to be infiltrating two large companies in Indiana PRIDE MARK CONSTRUCTION and CAT CONSTRUCTION name of Tommy Gibson's companies PRIDE MARK CONSTRUCTION GROUP and CAT CONSTRUCTION GROUP. We have retained an attorney and they are sure this contractor is on the verge of illegal practices possibly even the Sub Contractors. We are going to try are hardest even though we do not have a lot of money  for attorney fees, to make sure this does not happen to anyone else by Mr. Thomas Gibson of PRIDE MARK CONSTRUCTION GROUP.
One other note Mr. Gibson did not drop all communication until we found out he had made another request from insurance company and stopped payment on his check.
